Definately a fan! Works with Nvidia 3D Vision flawlessly. I was able to adjust and is very easy on the eyes. Also has a manual Hz adjustment which is much appreciated. Thumbs up!
When i try to use it with 3dVision it says "The NVidea 3D Vision driver cannot be loaded" Any help? it works with other settings and i do play other games in 3D
I'm trying to use this, but when I log in, it spams message boxes with "dummy windowProc called" and I get disconnected from the server before I can close them all. (Not even sure it's possible to close them all because they just kept coming so i closed MC)
Edit: I tried closing them all and first they turned blank then MC crashed with "Java has stopped working"
It's probably related to a mod I have installed. Maybe Zan's Minimap or Dynamic Lights. It's OptiFine.
It works with the vanilla client, but once I go ingame and enable stereoscopic mode the world is a gradient color, brighter in the middle and darker around the sides (I can still see the HUD) and shortly thereafter it runs out of memory.
Edit2: Now trying in fullscreen it says "Cannot create texture for left eye" and then closes.
Note this was all in cross-eye mode. However, I ordered a 3D vision monitor so I wanted to try it in cross-eye mode to get an idea of how it would work when I receive the monitor.
In anaglyph mode, it displayed black (even the HUD didn't show up)
Edit3: Received my 3D monitor. When I press Ctrl+T I can see two side by side images flashing for a fraction of a second but it fails to activate 3D vision. Can't try in fullscreen because that setting doesn't seem to work.
Edit4: Managed to get fullscreen to work by ticking "Enable Stereoscopic 3D as soon as game is launched", but same problem as with crosseyed 3d, shows a radial gradient in the center and the world is not shown.
My issue looks a lot like this
It really annoys me too because other people have it working properly and that's all I get :sad.gif:
Edit: Figured out the problem. Your configuration app will complain if the decimal symbol isn't the right one for the region (my region setting uses comma), but the wrapper itself will only work if the decimal symbol is a dot. Made it work by changing my decimal symbol to dot in regional settings, but you should really fix that in your app as it affects everyone in various regions and would be a simple fix.
If you could make it compatible with Optifine that would be great too since running in 3D mode about halves your FPS and Optifine would help a lot.

Thanks a lot! I've got the same problem.
Also, you may just configure the renderer, save settings and then open "renderer.cfg" and correct the comma with a dot,
and then start the game =)
I have some problems. Firstly, since I run Minecraft off a batch file, I can see the log of how minecraft is running. Apparently, the log says:
Exception in thread "Minecraft mail thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: (then it's the address to lwjgl.dll): Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform.
This tells me several things:
1.this mod can only support 32-bit (which 32-bit should be able to run on 64-bit) Operating systems. (i believe this is false.)
2.My processor (it is Intel Core i7 740QM [if this helps]) doesn't have instruction set for 32-bit (which is false because many programs [like fraps] on my computer are 32-bit based).
3.lwjgl.dll is corrupted somehow.
4.64-bit java can't run this.
I wanted something like this for a long time but looks like there is a compatibility issue here.
Please help. Thanks

Person A:What operating system are you running?
Person B:A computer.
I am putting a vote towards a mac version! I especially look forward to the cross-eye version because after almost a year since I bought minecraft, I still haven't found a pair of glasses.
Whats funny is i had 2 pairs of glasses but the joplin tornado took them...
Whats funny is i had 2 pairs of glasses but the joplin tornado took them...
Wow, that's pretty bad luck.
I actually found that Blockbuster gives away red/cyan 3D glasses if you ask for them. I now have two pairs! (still wish for a mac version, all the settings here look pretty sweet)

I have installed this correctly and get a black screen... i cant install the directx thing because it says i have the same version or later. Any help? :smile.gif: thanks
so far, this is working nicely for me. :laugh.gif:
unfortunately when i leave the window resolution blank i get nothing on the screen, so i had to enter it in manually. not much of a problem though.
also, i suggest that in the preview box you put a 3D minecraft screenshot to preview what we'd see in-game. for example, i had NO idea that making both eyes not monochrome made red turn blue. :blink.gif:
EDIT: i made my own. set the 3D mode to cross-eyed,screen size to 256, screenshot, and save each half of the image as one eye.
When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! GET MAD! I DON'T WANT YOUR DANG LEMONS! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THESE?! DEMAND TO SEE LIFE'S MANAGER! Make life RUE the day it thought it could give CAVE JOHNSON LEMONS! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I'M THE MAN WHO'S GONNA BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN! WITH THE LEMONS! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN!
does anyone get an error saying that It cannot create texture for left eye ?
i am not sure if this has been solved by someone else yet but i haven't seen it before.
EDIT: ok somehow i fixed that and i eventually got Stereoscopic working for about a minute until my brain exploded from weird noise repeating stutters i exited because it was also really laggy ... hopefully it works smooth someday because its amazing.
Apart from those there was the constant glitches and freezes that made me stop it all together and go back to my normal Minecraft D; .
hope that Minecraft becomes less laggy (i hear that they are getting rid of bugs and fps issues or whatever) and this becomes less buggy ..otherwise this is a great program ;p thanks :biggrin.gif:
I tried it now, and it doesnt work somehow. I have completely re-installed it and tested it but it doesnt seem to work, although it have worked many updates ago. I only get a black screen when i launch it.
The wrapper itself sort of works for me with 1.0.0. (I checked "Run game in full-screen" and filled in the resolution.) Crosseyed, anaglyph, and Nvidia 3D Vision modes all set up properly. However, the game still appears in 2D, which obviously defeats the purpose.
Did Minecraft add some kind of 2D post-processing by any chance? I've had this problem in other games, such as Everquest, where I had to disable 2D post-processing effects for 3D vision to work.
Edit: After I realized that I had failed to copy one of files that make up this mod (long story), I'm pleased to report that other than the known limitations--most notably being unable to alt-tab out and back in--this mod worked perfectly with my Nvidia 3D vision glasses. Frame rate is more or less unaffected, sound is unaffected, and the 3D effect is everything I hoped it would be.
ATI 55xx fanless video card (3D TV compatible) HDMI out
Panasonic 58" VT-25 HDTV with 3D Settings Input Format set to 'Side by Side'
I still need to tweak the MinecraftRenderConfiguration.exe a bit but here are my settings:
-'Run game in full-screen' check
-Resolution: 1920x1080 Refresh: blank
-'Enable Stereoscopic 3D as soon as game is launched' check
-Stereoscopy mode: 'Cross-eyed'
and in the 'Cross-eyed' section
-'Stretch vertically' check
-'Flip left/right eyes' check (I use the shutter glasses, so the Left needs to be on the Left)
These settings I still need to play a bit with:
-Distance between eyes: 6.5cm
-Distance from screen: 365cm
The mouse pointer is about 90% accurate in the menus, I will probably change the display resolution to 720p...when I turn in-game there is a noticeable stutter or ghosting effect that affects each eye differently...a bit painful to watch too much of...MC was around 45fps or so without this mod, about 28 with it at 1080p.
Also the crosshairs and toolbar are about 2 blocks (6 feet) in front of you, so if you are standing closer than two blocks from an item it is hard on the eyes...That is probably not fixable...you can see the effect (if you have 3D glasses) by taking the glasses off and note that the crosshair and toolbar are in focus...then move from 3 blocks toward an object...you will note that at 2 blocks the object comes in focus...then keep moving toward it, and it goes out of focus again. The crosshair and toolbar should be out of focus like that all the time with glasses off.
The MinecraftRenderConfiguration.exe window is too big to fit a 720p screen, I haven't tried to run MC in fullscreen at a different resolution than the display settings...I will probably do that next, but sometimes it causes mouse location issues.
Overall I give it 2 pickaxes up!
-Follow up: I can't get a lower resolution to work correct (i.e. 1280x720). At full HD 1920x1080 the images line up correctly, but at 1280x720 they do not...I played with the graphics card settings etc...but no dice. (however I am pretty sure it is a graphics card issue)
--More Follow up: I installed new ATI drivers, and before I tweaked the settings I ran MC3D...I again had the misaligned screens...but I was in the 1080p setting still...so I went back to my card settings, and I had not changed the default Overscan yet...(this TV needs the ATI card to display 0 on the Overscan setting...expands the picture to fit the screen).
After I put the Overscan to 0 and re-ran MC3D, the images did line up correctly again...so this means that in 720p the HDTV is incorrectly scaling the image...I will have to look further into this...error has nothing to do with the mod.
note: for 3D HDTVs there are 4 possible rendering modes...and only a few devices can use all of them. Here is a short summary.
Sequential frame- each odd frame is one eye and each even frame is the other, it is sent at (I think) 60fps (or 48) so you get 30fps (or 24) in each eye...good enough for video...and each frame is full HD (I think both the ATI and Nvidia cards use this format...but I believe the Nvidia system can run higher FPS than the 3dHdtv spec allows.
Side by Side- (Direct TV in 3D uses this) both eye images are sent in each frame...allows a higher frame rate, but a lower resolution. 640×720 pixels
Top/Bottom- Same concept but each frame has the eye images stacked...and each eye still gets full 1080p (for movies or 720p for games) ...why? the actual frame is 1920×2205 pixels...takes more bandwith, and 24fps (or 30?) for each eye is the limit on frame rate.
Checkerboard- older technology...Seems like more projectors could use it...don't have resolution for you, but imagine a checkerboard with the black squares being parts of one eye image, and the white squares being the other eye.
Finally...what you see in the theater with those Real3d throwaway glasses.
Polarized- Imagine you have two movie projectors running simultaneously, one projecting the left eye, the other the right eye, the left one is sent through a vertical polarizer, and the right through a horizontal polarizer. Those throwaway glasses are built the same way, to match the projectors. You could use those glasses at home if you had 2 projectors, and two polarizers...the limitation is that you need two HD displays running simultaneously to use it. The passive 3d HDTVs currently only display half the HD resolution...until they start building HDTVs with double the HD resolution (or 4K displays would be nice)
Thank you MessiahAndrw!!!

Does this work with iZ3D or the other stereo 3D drivers?
Is the crosseye view squished, or does it maintain aspect ratio?
Any plans for interleaved? I'm printing a parellax barrier for my screen ;p
Also, does it support eye-swapping?
Finally, any chance of showing the separate eyes on seperate monitors? Through window mode, maybe?
Edit: Awwr. I wonder if 1.8 broke it. it dosen't work. >: Just get a black screen.
