Is there any tool that lets me smooth the edges of multiple chunks so they connect properly, like in Simcity cities?
Ever since the Halloween update, I've been peeved when walking though my lands and suddenly seeing the sheer edge of a cliff, with no gradient or anything to the next chunk. I see this in my rendered maps, where mountains are cut in half by lakes.
Because of the biomes, the algorithms that generate new land have changed, they don't blend correctly with their surrounding land that was generated before the patch. I've just wondered, Why hasn't anyone found out a way to blend these chunks so they look reasonable?
Also, a chunk blender could not only be useful for fixing up maps, but it could let you integrate chunks from other worlds seamlessly, so you'd never have to play on a new world just to enjoy the scenery it creates, you could take it back with you where you put all your hard work and effort into.
I don’t know of a chunk blender, but I know a place where you can move chunks between worlds. It is Mca selector. https://github.com/Querz/mcaselector . You can also unload chunks for if your world is to big and you want new updates closer to your base
