I do have a lot more planned, including the hostility and spawning and such people have suggested.
Also, I'd like to remove the dependence on MCP, but I'm probably going to wait and see what Notch does for the modding API.
And I'm sorry some people think this is such a bad idea. The way I see it Minecraft is a game about creativity, and removing a knowledge barrier towards expressing that creativity through mobs is a good thing. Granted I hope people won't post tons of them on the forums, but one way or another people or going to post some sort of junk anyways.
Anyways, I'm going to see about adding the add/remove for parts tonight and maybe some spawn settings.
I think hostility and sounds will be after that. Any other suggestions?
Sounds great! Please do make all the features you mentioned in later version.
By the way, I made this by your awesome Mob Maker.(Yeah, I know, my pixel drawing suck.LOL)
Just post a picture to let people know the possibility which this Mob Maker could make. =)
For the people who don't like it, I know you are worrying that this could become the situation just like Makemyitem and make people more less appreciated to the mods made by other genius modders. That kind of worrying is right, but a little bit unnecessary. No offense here but please have faith in the community, for most of us still are very grateful to the genius modders and their fantastic mobs. :biggrin.gif: And I believe this tool would speed up the coding works of model for modders, and make them could focus on other coding works like the behavior of mobs or having more interaction with the players...etc. something like that, I guess.
And once again, thanks Rubixcuber for your awesome tool! Keep it up! for your epic works!

Pretty good but how do i upload custom png caus i want a shammy in minecraft
Glad you like it, thanks. :smile.gif:
You need to put your default .png into the folder of mcp2.9/temp/mob to change it. Just type your .png files name in Mob Maker's general page. By the way, I recommend MCskinedit for edit tool by using the function of import particles if you want to check the locations of your newly-created texture XY.
Have fun. :smile.gif:

Use MCskinedit open this pig png as the comparison when you open the Mob Maker to check the texture XY.
As my model position and dimensions, see this:
And if you want to test it in mcp, you must check the mod tutorials (viewtopic.php?f=25&t=103030) and ask your question in there where I believe many good people with modding knowledge would answer your questions more specific than me. :smile.gif:
Sorry for the delay. New version is up with a couple changes. The add/remove parts work now, and added the center point to the part editing, although it's not reflected in the preview yet.
Also added some basic settings to the spawn section.

I've never developed for a mac, but I'll take a shot at porting it at some point and see how much trouble it is.

I intend to do both. Once I get some more of the functionality working, I'll try to make things a little more user friendly.

The pig is just the template shape for the moment. If you want a different shape, you can adjust the shapes manually from the appearance tab. I do intend to add some more defaults to choose from at some point.

I was just using the pig as a starting point, you can make whatever you want...

Yay! Finally, an update, I'm going to try it right now...
I'm not using it to make mobs, but to replace NBT editor as my, "Does this skin look good?" viewer
In fact, think you could make a stripped version for those without MCP (I just happen to have it because I want to try to learn modding at some point) that allows one to view all mobs (even ones from a mod) they have in their minecraft.jar file, with maybe the ability to see their animations?
I know that I would promote that in any texture pack thread I make
Another small update, added falling damage, wing animation type and fixed a possible compilation issue with random drops.

lol, no you cant, if this uses the ModelPig.java file, you can only make pigs, to make a cow, has different rotations and everything, and it has ears which arent on pigs.
It doesn't use ModelPig.java. Who said it did? Please don't continue to complain or disparage the program without knowing what you are talking about. It writes a custom EntityXXXX.java, RenderXXXX.java and ModelXXXX.java based on the settings and parts you define.

ya, i realized that now, but in the other one the body was always rotated, so i figured it ran off the ModelPig.java file

So other people could spam the forum with "mods"? No thanks. I think it should only be used for personal use.
Basic tut (I doubt anybody could create anything with this info):
Get MCP and this, combine in the same folder, and decompile MC.
Set the environmental paths to Java
Create your mob normally, and recompile
Success!
Not every 12 year old can do this, and I'm sure that I didn't go through all the steps + I haven't tested it completely yet.
unless he's developing on the mac? then it would be his first priority. (not that he is)
