It seems long ago some sea elves decided they liked trees and built some magical lamps to hold the water away from their secret underwater groves. Or something like that. The photos below should give you a better idea.
Looking out from an underwater island.
Looks great, for some reason the above reminded me of Atlantis- as in SGA.
Well, similar to a previous poster, I have found that, for me, any map larger than 255*255 gives a negative number of islands, then skips the defining islands part, gets to about 99% svaed, and then crashes. tried this with 512, and 256, they crash, but 255 doesn't. I am running dual-core 64-bit Windows 7.
sorry to bring bad news but you generator failed i spawned in the islands yes but when i was looking around i found that the islands were only part of the world i found a wall of water and on the other side the world was just like a regular minecraft world not islands i have screen shots but i dont know how to post them from my minecraft pic folder
Anyone know how to fix the file format so Mystical island maps can be edited in MCedit? Tried using NBtoolKit but it didn't resave the file after it changed the info, and MCedit it still throwing a fit about the save not being in gzip format. All I really want to do is put down a bedrock seafloor at the very bottom. Don't care for the "no floor" setup.
This is awesome! Here's an idea: a variant of this, where it puts man-made stuff from an existing map on islands far away, and generates normal islands close by.
very cool even though i'm OS.X perhaps a a regular world with several floating islands above... i guess lot's of badies spawn underneath? any way i would love to play the other maps but no .jar downloads for some of them
Every time I generate a new world with islands over 30 blocks across, it says it failed "more that a million times to define an island," and then just saves the map with less islands. I have a good computer, and I have stopped every unneeded function running in the background, yet it only generates 20% of the islands (8 per 1 million blocks). Any suggestions??
However, from what I have used (as well as all of the other map generators), I am a huge fan. You are amazing.

A fix would be nice.
regardless, this generator is just awesome.
Mind adding gravel to this? Makes planes impossible otherwise.

There needs to be more sand and stone blocks around, because I only found 1 island that had sand.
