So far I like it. Two things that I would like is is a whitelist and the ability to set home and be able to /spawn and /home to get to both. I just like it so people that are mining and exploring can travle back and forth if they want.
i cant seem to get this to work, i've downloaded all the files into my server folder. I'm using visualadmin for my server wrapper so tried loading the plugin that way but it didn't work. Then i tried merging minecraft_server.jar and zmod.jar together and used that, no errors or anything but it doesn't seem to work.
any ideas?
This is exactly what I did and what worked:
Just download a fresh version of 'Minecraft_server.jar', put it somewhere, download this server wrapper, put it somewhere. Using 7-Zip, I extracted the Zmod.jar, and then opened up 'Minecraft_server.jar' with 7-Zip. Drag all files from the extracted 'Zmod.jar', and place them in to 'Minecraft_server.jar'. Then, rename 'Minecraft-Server.jar' to 'Zmod.jar', and try it then, works fine, hopefully, even if there are one or two un-needed steps.

Just as a quick request, could you add the /sethome command to this wrapper? If that could be added, I could stop running about 4 other mods on my server. Also, I'm not exactly sure how to set this up on a dedicated server since I only have FTP access. If I have to have it on a local machine to run it, then that's too bad, but I understand.

Hey Zan, you know I love your mod, but I've come up with a couple suggestions.
1 - Would it be possible to have an *option* in which the default rank, cannot build/ destroy anything? I would like to open up the server to a large number of people, but I want to be able to make sure they read the rules, and understand how I run my server, before giving them build rights. It'd be a nice option. Maybe add a ranks setup to the zmod.text?
2- Make shrines public within the game. Ex: You don't have to edit the zmod.text/ restart to make a public shrine
3- protect areas with a /cylinder type command? Ex - /protect cylinder [radius] <height> (name)
Anyways, I love what you are doing with the mod. I hope to see it grow!!

I've done this before, and people do not like it, they ask "Wtf cant i build" in as childish and rude a way possible, then leave. This is why he's adding a whitelist.

so rename it to Zmod.jar and then in visual admin call up 'Zmod.jar' works? cool :smile.gif: i'll try that later, im also using craftbukkit.jar as my primary so hopefully they'll both work together
some diamond for you sir
This will not work if you're using bukkit, this server wrapper is just meant to be used just with Minecraft_server.jar, and nothing else. You might get lucky and be able to add a few mods like McRegion that are just meant to be used on the vanilla server software, but I doubt much else. :S I could be wrong though, I suppose.
I do hate to bother you, but could you give some information about the area tool? What is the purpose of it?
Will it enable me to create areas where no one else can mine if the ownership belongs to me? What else can I do with it? Is there a page where I could see this information but I didn't manage to find it? (anyone else willing is welcome to chip in.)
I'm having a problem. I really want to use this but I can't get it to work!
When I run the command:
java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar zMod.jar nogui
It says that there is an exeption in "Main" or something and it stops the server.
----
ALSO.
Could you PLEASE Add the /tunnel command where we could dig tunnels? I really want to use this on my server.
And maybe a !lock or /lock to lock chests :biggrin.gif:!
Thanks
Thank you!
Don't run it like that, use either the windows or unix script I provided in the package, this will enable in-game/IRC restarts to work correctly, and merge zMod.jar into minecraft_server.jar .
Feel free to modify the scripts though.
Also, I'll add /tunnel if enough people want it, but you do know that ops can select and delete any sized area right now? I'll work on a chest locking feature too, but in the mean time, placing some dirt on top of a chest in a protected area will do the job :wink.gif:
i need to run your mod using that txt saved as a .bat file also i was hoping you could elaborate on how to do this so i too could use the mod thank you verry much if you can help i will give you and a pet in real life lol
EDIT: i forgot also how do i know if the mod worked im sorry if i sound nooby.

Ok, after some tweaking and such I got this mod working. It is amazing. zMod, McRegion, and Runecraft all seem to be playing nice, which is awsome! Thank you Zaneris for a sweet world wrapper, even if I don't always use it.

Ok, after looking into the wrapper a little I was wondering a few things. Well, two really. I was wondering if there was a way to only add the color's to player names AND a way to add the health regen to the server? Other than that between the other few mods we have we have everything we needed.
i love it its so easy to use and its way better then Bukkit and it's lies
Bukkit is a free, open-source, software that provides the means to extend the popular Minecraft multiplayer server.
Our organization's aim is: to provide the Minecraft community with a powerful, well-designed and thought out solution to extending and controlling their servers.
Not true, this is better then Bukkit in my opinion
P.S. please add /spawn, and tags in front of names stating ranks that would make this mod way beter
also how do i change the color of other players names?
EDIT: would this run on a amazon web services server?
EDIT: how to add a shrine?

Cuz i have a friend who has a server... We are using it to do stuff and i am getting more mods for him...
Thanks if you can get it done!!!!

The ranks are the most kewl thing of it
P.S Check the server!

When choosing coordinates, the shovel prints them as x z y, and when telelporting to a "high" area, you appear below bedrock and fall.

Don't believe you can, only the players can change their colors as of now.
/smod create shrinename
After you select 2 positions with a golden shovel.
