Hi, can any one please make, or point me to a normal realistic like map generator ?
im pretty tierd of the crappy maps the original generator makes,
the sand is really anoyying too... its supposed to be under water and around the beach but some why
it like the grass more... and all you see is cubes of sand in the middle of the field....
im pretty sure every one here all ready noticed that, also im really sick of UFO'S...
why the @*#&! do i have floating mini islands ?
and why the mountains look so crappy too ? (mostly the rocky ones)
any way, is there such a thing as "normal" map generator at all ?
i need a generator that will make realistic mountains, normal beaches, bigger fields,
and when i say bigger fields i mean more flat (ish) space.
So ye, thats all i think, thanks in advance
havent seen one myself but have experimented a bit with mountain leveling. last poster was right it takes a while to properly level a place with diamond tools
but with some simple math you can expadite this process with some tnt.
from what i have seen a single tnt has a blas radius from center to edge of an average of 4 blocks away not including the center(where the tnt was)
so tak that 4 times 2 plus 1(for the tnt) u have a blast of 9.
for the depth it is roughly the same but has some varience depending on what it is blasting through.
this effect however is compounded when you stack the tnt either side to side or ontop of each other, as the blast from the first can propell the second causing a variable in the depth and trajectory of the blasts.
i personally leveled a mountain that rose i believe it was 65 to 70 blocks high above my targeted height level for my field, it also had a somewhat ovalish shape to it spanning around 150 blocks in all directions. with 1 well timed explosion, taking into account the factors above i was able to produce my flat land by placing roughly 150 or so tnt through the interior of the mountain. redwired it and flipped a swith and ran the other way(to prevent lag)
when i had returned there was nothing left except the odd missed piece here and there but was easily taken care of by building 1x1 towers then spent about 15 or so mins leveling the field off.
