So i installed it just like it said in the readme. I have windows so i clicked on the .bat file. It opened up the command line and said some code. Then absolutly nothing happened. Whats wrong?
I'm really sorry, I have no idea how to do what you just said. :c Could you help me?
Ok, since messing up your path might break other things, I'll suggest you should go for the second option I gave, editing minecraft.bat.
[*:8bbddqdf] Find where java is installed on your computer. There are a number of ways you could do that: you might remember where you installed it, or you can poke around on your C: drive looking for "Java" (often either in C:\ or C:\Program Files on WinXP), or you could fire up the Add/Remove Programs control panel, find Java in the list of installed programs, click on it, click on the "Click here for support information" link, and if it's a recent enough version it'll have a link to the Readme to a location such as "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_21\README.txt".
[*:8bbddqdf] Browse to the location of the java installation, and there should be a folder called "bin". Among the many items in that folder should be an exe, java.exe.
[*:8bbddqdf] Once you know the location of java.exe, browse to MMM's minecraft.bat. Make a backup copy of it just to be safe, and then edit it (there should be an "Edit" option if you right-click the .bat file).
[*:8bbddqdf] The first (and only) line of the file starts off java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M blah blah. Change the first word, java, to be a full path to java.exe, enclosed in quotes if there's a space in the path, like so: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_21\bin\java.exe"

Hi, all. I'm just in the process of doing up a fresh README/OP. When that's done, I'll release a new version, which will hopefully work around the Main-Class manifest attribute issue.
@Outlaw_P2P, I PM-ed you. It looks like whichever mod you're using that includes PlayerHelper.class is expecting the classLoader to be a URLClassLoader, but MMM doesn't extend that class. I'll look into changing it before the update.

Ok, version 0.2 is now available. Hopefully, many of the current issues will be addressed. It has a more sophisticated .bat file which doesn't just assume that you have java in your path, and it works with the new launcher.

Hello there, this is actually something I was planning on making until i found your post. Excelent work.
However, I'm having an issue.
As it's 4:30 in the morning, I am to tired to track it down in to much detail so I'll just post and see if you can give me some advice. (Once again it's 4:30am, I may just be doing something extreamly retarded.)

Minecraft m = ModLoader.getMinecraftInstance(); //109

Whcih leads me to beleive the NullPointer is the instance of Minecraft (dua there is nothing else on that line).
But I havent devled into ModLoader to see where/when the instance vareable is being set/cleared.
But any ideas?
Could you make it so that it doesn't wipe out the custom texture pack that you have installed? You know, using Xau's? Maybe put in a way to put in high def texture packs with MMM as well?

Hmm, looking at a decompilation of ModLoader, it should get its value for the minecraft instance on load (in a static initializer).
I must admit that I've only run MMM with v4 ModLoader. I'll update to v5 and see why it's breaking.

MMM doesn't do anything specific with texture packs. You've run Xau's patcher, and then MMM, and the custom textures don't show?
You should be able to use MMM in conjunction with a modified minecraft.jar, I believe, although I don't normally run it that way.

Yeah, I ran the texture pack patcher and then I installed the mods and my texture pack was gone. All of the native resolution texture packs are unaffected. I think the only way this could happen is if something replaced the .jar. I haven't tried to run the texture pack patcher after using MMM because I get the feeling that it will remove the mods.
