I generated my first map, started on a tree planetoid and found that I could not place or destroy blocks on chunk borders. It appears no one else has posted about having this problem, so for now I am assuming corrupt data or something. I will make a few more worlds and see what happens.
Otherwise this is amazing and I hope to enjoy it once i can properly play these maps.

Created a new map and did not have any issues. Settings are below. I will experiment more with this to see if the issue I encountered is repeatable.
map edge chunks: 16
min radius: 4
max radius: 15
min distance: 4
density: 100

Are you referring to the Admintium walls that surround the map? Those should not be destructible

Can you find iron in a planetoid? Both myself and the Yogscast (seen earlier in this thread) haven't found iron, but have found redstone and diamond. Is iron really rare, or is it not in the generator's code at all?
EDIT: Nevermind, apparently it's just really rare. It should be more common, though.
Looks really fun but the first thing I tried when I created the map is jumping to my death and everytime I respawn, I never land on a planet and fall again, over and over. Any ideas?
Just for your interest:
I've tested with a map of size of 254 and 255, 254 works perfectly, when I use 255 the generator crashes riiight before it says "paving map".
Might be some memory issue or something (i've got 8 gb of free ram while running the 254 sized map generation, in total I have 16 gb of ram)

I had this exact same problem on the first map I generated. I had to use MCEdit when I wanted to build across these areas. I ended up generating a second map for unrelated reasons and I don't think I have that problem on this one.
I'm not sure if this is beyond your scope or not, but would it be possible to input and remove different minerals, and/or change the percent chance of something occurring, like a world that has no glowstone and lots of lapis lazuli, or even maybe a map with no lava and a lot of iron. I know there's an app to add ore, but it only replaces stone. Just a minor suggestion. thanks!
I've put about 50 hours into my planetoids map since me and my friend started playing with it. However this weekend i had nothing to do and decided i was finally going to search for diamond. We are playing on a 128x128 map so i had quite a lot to cover. Checked every stone planet to the immediate left and right and found none eventually coming to the wall and just headed back. Well i finally found a giant of a planet filled with diamond. Now the problem is that the game seems to have reset mine and his spawn point to the partially generated part that appeared when i came to the walls, so that we are now both on a normal part of the map. I'm going to search for an add-on to set my spawn point back onto my original planetoid, but i assumed it was better to warn others that this might happen.
wont work for me....it just like a bunch of code or something...any help? im on a mac...dont really know how to use it just got it
The generator currently does not work on the mac, but on one of the pages someone linked a download to a pre-made world. If you don't like the one he links just send me a PM and ill generate any sort of map you want. :happy.gif:

thanks for telling me...i was starting to think that i was retarded
Ok, so I am trying to gen a world, but this "open file" box repeatedly pops up and will NOT stop popping up. How do I fix this? This is the coolest thing I've ever seen; I want to know how to make it work T_T

You have to make urself op....
Thanks for the map! I couldn't make one with my computer, apparently, so I used yours.
