However after the update I did not have a functional program. (The updater did not specify a minimal OS version before the update)
REQUEST:
Could you make a version of MCMap Live compatible with Snow Leopard 10.6.8?
Regards,
Goshawk235
My apologies. I've put in a fix to return Snow Leopard support. If the 1.6.0 release isn't even starting for you, you'll probably need to download 1.6.1 manually again: http://cl.ly/0w3w2R3B2k2S/download/MCMap Live.zip
Goshawk: Do you still have the old version of MCMap? (It will have been placed in the trash when you did the update and should still be there if you haven't emptied it?)
If you right-click and "show package contents" you can open up the app. Navigate to Contents/Resources/ and you will find a file called "mcmap" (no filename extension).
Copy the new version of that file into the old version of the app and you will have a working version of the app compatible with both Minecraft 1.7.4 and Snow Leopard.
Maybe it would be best to also copy tiles.plist and the colour files? I haven't looked into that.

Voikya the link worked for the manual download and the program runs in 10.6.8. Thank for the quick update.
Has anyone managed to fix the mystcraft ages? There's a menu item for them, but none ever show up. The "workaround" for displaying them is to copy a level.dat into the directory that has their region files, and open world folder, but it's a pain compared to just selecting an age from a menu.

... did I really ask that?

Odds are, since this started in 2010 or so, that all the various (and, in my opinion as a developer of modest merit, declining in quality) OSX updates have broken this at a rate that the developer hasn't been able to keep up with. If it's not open source, they might consider going that route so the community can help
tonylee123321, are you able to use any version of this with a current version of minecraft? This was the best mapper soft for macs for a long time, but stopped working a few minecraft versions ago. Is there any kind of patch or upgrade out there that I'm not aware of? thanks!
The download link isn't working for me, It directs me to this site. Can you please fix this?
This likely wouldn't work anyway (see previous comment) since 1.13 completely changed the save format and most mapping tools and editors, even ones as big as MCEdit, no longer work with newer versions (the Wiki says it hasn't officially been updated past 1.6.2/4, released over 7 years ago, which is also consistent with older replies - always read at least the last few posts in a thread for a program/tool to check its status). Even a more up-to-date version of MCMap (the original version for Windows which MCMap Live is based on) has been dead since 1.9 (the Wiki says there is a version for 1.16 but there are no releases).

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Really wish this still existed :/
