If by "type 2" you mean the different meta-values for blocks then you would do //set 15:4 and you would get yellow wool, or //set 44:2 for wooden slabs.
Hopefully this was the answer you were looking for
worldedit is constantly updated how ever people find it hard to update the DOWNLOAD LINK!!!!!! I don't know how hard this is to copy and past the link to the new version takes all but 2 - 3 seconds tops. I always have to jump hoops to find the latest version. I guess the good old days of the easy find 1 click download is dead and lost forever.
Hi, I was recently buiding something, using WorldEdit to quicken the process. But when rotating stairs and logs, the facing of the blocks isn't rotated with the whole selection, which can give really nasty results:
In the screenshot you can see the original part on the left and the rotated part on the right, and clearly notice that the stairs haven't been rotated correctly. The same happens for logs, only that you don't notice it on 180° rotations.
So lets say someone has an unauthentic copy of the game. Would one still be able to install Worldedit normally? Let's also say that the owner of said copy has already tried every installation method and every copy of Worldedit and SPC the internet has to offer.
I have two questions about the //g(en(erate)) command:
1.) Does it work using SinglePlayerCommands?
2.) Do I need to download anything extra to use it (like needing Rhino to use scripts from the craftscripts folder)?
Great mod. I recently wrote a book "Instant Minecraft Designs" where I show people how to use WorldEdit through 4 practical projects. I also just put up a video showing people an easy install method of CraftBukkit server using BukkitGUI and then install mods such as WorldEdit and VoxelSniper.
Is the singleplayer version updated for minecraft version 1.5.2 anywhere by any chance?

This mod wont work. Everytime I try to select and area and I try to either replace the area I selected or remove it says 0 blocks have been created, and 0 blocks have been replaced. I cannot replace blocks and I cannot fill holes with blocks. What am I doing wrong?
Is this mod dead? It seems like they haven't updated the client version for a while, but they keep updating the server version...which isn't much help until the client side mod is available.
