I have found a fix to the annoying Bad video card drivers OpenGl Error you guys have been having.
Please note: This is Windows XP, as I have a Windows XP and I don't have access to any other computer. Once I do, I will post how to fix those versions.
1. Right click home screen
2. Select Properties
3. Select the Settings Tab
4. Click Advanced
5. Click Troubleshoot Tab
6. Drag/Click until the bar under hardware acceleration is at the third from the left. If It is correct, it should say:
"Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. Use this setting to correct severe problems with DirectX accelerated applications

This is because most modern games use the latest DirectX, while Minecraft does not. Since they don't use the same accelerations (DirectX vs OpenGl), it throws up the bad video card drivers error, talking about OpenGl in the error. If you set it to that, it should fix that error.
Source: Tested by me. I have a game that used the latest Direct X (a Star Wars game) and Minecraft, which allowed me to compare them.
It's not compatible with 1.6. It doesn't get the update because it has a new launcher. So you can't play on servers that have the 1.6 update. Will this be fixed? will there be an update on this as well? please do because I have to use this at home because my computer won't download java. So please update.
It turns out Mojang changed the URL for the Minecraft launcher, so Minecraft Portable was downloading the wrong (old) version. I've released 2.7.2, which changes the following:
- Fixed launcher download
- Fixed server download
- Added code to remove 'Dropbox' folder that appears in 'mcp_data' when application is launched
- Removed AutoLogin, as it no longer works with the newer launchers
Sorry the fix took so long. Download in the OP as usual.

How do I go about adding mods to Minecraft through this? I'm trying to manually install Forge. I assume that the .jar file inside mcp_data/.minecraft/versions/1.5.2 is the correct one to edit. Am I right in assuming this?
However, when I go to play, the launcher downloads a fresh copy of the 1.5.2 .jar file, deleting the previously added mod files. How do I go about fixing this?
Yeah... This is great(considering that I couldn't, for the life of me, find out how to run my Minecraft with a portable jre/jdk(I did set my appdata though)) to have, but I would love to know how to include and existing jar and such with 1.6.2.

AHHHHHH I'm a derp. So, I realized how 3 seconds(literally) after I posted. Should I delete?
I put the files from the ZIP folder on my thumb drive (I use mac, btw). I tried to launch minecraftp.app and it told me I needed Java. Is launching the app possible without Java?
