I just downloaded everything again and got the same error. It's saying, "[INFO] Disconnecting SomKen [/IP]: Took too long to log in"
Try turning onlineMode=false in simpleserver.properties and see if that helps.
If that works, then its just because of the minecraft.net authorization lag, cause he's getting bombarded.
I had to start a new world using the just the server, walk around for a bit, stop the server, start the wrapper, and HOPE it worked. it did. but, i got a snow map. So, i have to do it all again.

I'm doing some experimentation and it seems that when you join the first time it will crash, but after that it will work fine.
I tried to connect three times. All three crashed. Doing the method above, it crashes once on login. But, thats the to long message. After that, it works.

Yeah I'm not sure why you're having the issues you're having. My server is running it fine, and I've discovered that the issue with crashing on first login is actually from minecraft_server.jar
*shrug*
Attach your simpleserver.properties or copy it into a message?
Uhm. Readme says there's supposed to be a defaultrank in simpleserver.properties, yet after having replaced simpleserver.jar, starting the server and then stopping the server, there still is no defaultrank in there?

If you're upgrading you have to add it in yourself : (
Or say !save in console
Okay that looks fine. And just to verify, when you're running my software, and you try to join the game, it will crash EVERY time? after generating a new world?

It crashes after first connecting. If I reconnect, it works fine.
Yeah this is Notch's problem. I tested it with a vanilla minecraft_server.jar and it would crash me, too.
So there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to fix it.
I think there MIGHT be other issues associated with the update that I'm not catching. A lot of players on my server are disconnecting, but no one can give a straight answer on the error message soo... hopefully I'll be able to figure it out :tongue.gif:
hi, thank you for the swift update after the new server release.
I'd like to request a new feature (preferrably only for admins) whereby you can set a location to tp to. So you can tp player to named location rather than just player to player. Thanks!
Sorry, just as in MCAdmin and Zicore's wrappers, we're all fairly certain that something like this is not possible.
: (
EDIT: You would have to make a mod for the minecraft_server.jar, so that would be hey0's mod : P
He's having this bug wherein placing anything and quickly removing it will make it appear again, client-side and thus only visible for and affecting him, disappearing when he disconnects from the server.
Doubt that is anything you can fix, seeing as that happens in the spawn-protection-zonewithout the mod too, but thought I'd mention it anyway. :smile.gif:

Yeah there's nothing I can do about it : P Sorry! At least it's not affecting anyone else!

Is your render distance set to normal?

I have it set to far. Everyone else on my server is also set to far. I'm the only one crashing.
Set it to normal : )
