set
alternateJarFile=Minecraft_Mod.jar
and
useSlashes=false
in simpleserver.properties
it works great, but then I loose my color options in Hey0 user list..and all the simpleserver txt files become useless
is there an option to use hey0's commands of /warp and /sethome..but still use simple servers user list and colors? (i much prefer the way your groups/members/etc works as well as the prefix on names).
because this wrapper does ALL my players want other than /sethome and /warp..so basiclly trying to merge to 2 to get 98% of the functions here, and 2% from hey0 :tongue.gif:
EDIT: with a bit of work I got it working..all other than the /setwarp and such..its now using the simpleservre user list...but any hey0 commands that need a user higher than default in hey0 you cant execute.
do you see any conflicts with yours by setting up a barebones user.txt and groups.txt in hey0 for the users I need to be able to use /setwarp?
I am working on getting /warp and /sethome into my wrapper before friday. It will likely be released tonight if I can get enough of my other work done : )
RC 6.1
Added useSMPAPI to simpleserver.properties to tell SimpleServer to pass unrecognized commands
and other useful commands to the SMP API. Set to true if you are using the WarpMod
Added SSWarpMod.jar to the package. This is used in conjunction with SMP API. viewtopic.php?f=1012&t=44394
Setup instructions are above.
Fixed some failure detection issues related to minecraft exceptions.
Fixed the saveLock to only unlock after a full save has been completed.
Fixed autoBackup/!backup to not try to operate on tmp_chunk.dat
Really looking forward to this tool, warping is what I miss in MCAdmin.
But I got a problem, eacht time I try to run launch.bat it say something about Java not being an internal or external command, program or batchfile.. So i'm not able to run it :x
SMP API 0.8 and 0.8_2 don't work for me. SS launches, loads, and then gives this error before restarting over and over: "[SimpleServer] Minecraft process stopped unexpectedly! Automatically restarting..."
Spiegal, this is truly an amazing wrapper/tunnel! This is definitely the best thing out there.
I have a few questions. I'll start with: what is !iddqd, and what is the difference between !give and !giveplayer? Can the commands in the command list be re-ordered?

Also this needs the ability to set a specific time to do backups and restarts. Putting minutes just gets me backing up at random increments unless I want to stay up till 6 am and put 1440 minutes into server.prefs. I don't like!
Sorry, this feature is not being considered.
I believe I am thirding this? Something like a "autoRestartTime=" property you could set to a time such as "23:59" would be great.
Thanks for pointing that out. Don't know how that got in there. I switched to 7 too and no problems. Hmmm. Also, How do we format Mods-warp-command-list?
Just put group numbers in there? Mine are blank. :sad.gif:

createwarp=4,
warp=4,
listwarps=4,
Other commands are in the readMeSSWarp.Mod.txt file. It's working for me!
Hey SpiegalPwns, thanks for the warps! Seems to work great if I run the older SMP API 0.7.
You mentioned something about /sethome the other day, is this still in the works?
It may seem a fine distinction but, considering that teleports of some sort have been promised by Notch, I think a good compromise between making warps a free-for-all or none whatsoever would be basically limiting users to having one warp/home point.
edit: I guess that manually editing the mods-warp-command-list.txt file is another trick to accomplish this since I have a pretty small server. Good stuff.
SMP API 0.8 and 0.8_2 don't work for me. SS launches, loads, and then gives this error before restarting over and over: "[SimpleServer] Minecraft process stopped unexpectedly! Automatically restarting..."
Doesn't happen with SMP API 0.7
Interesting. I'll retest tonight and maybe release a v2 or something.

!iddqd is a surprise! Unfortunately, since health doesn't work I can't give you infinite health. But I've given you something else!
!give <id> <amt> is for giving yourself items
!give <player> <id> <amt> is for giving others items.
And also in what order were you thinking?

I have looked into how to do scheduling with java and it isn't very pretty. Since enough people want it I may add it in, but it won't be until after this weekend.

I left a message for oddsheogorath on the SMP API thread and he mentioned doing the same on his end. It only happens when I set addons.cfg as:
addons=SSWarpMod.SSWarpMod
If I remove this line from the addons.txt file or if I roll back to SMP API 0.7, it works fine.

If you remove that line it isn't loading my warp mod anymore (or at least it shouldn't be). So it's a problem with my mod interfacing with the later version of the API.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if I could reorder the commands in command-list.txt for myself so I could more easily work with them. I wanted to loosely order them based on how high of a group level you have to be to have usage permission.

I wouldn't want you to put too much time into it. I just thought it would be easy to run an operation based off of the system clock, but I was wrong. It's no surprise as I don't have any programming experience. I'd rather have everything stay nice and stable and I don't want you spending a ton of time on a feature just a few of us would make use of.
Will do
EDIT: No luck.
There is no indication it is even running.
If you run that command in the terminal, does it work?

Did you edit the text file manually? If so, did you !reload after editing it in either the console or in-game?

What's the dealio? :sad.gif: Works fine with API disabled.
Edit: ooh, interesting note: when I try to run API.jar I get kicked out too. >_<
Probably unrelated, but I see you have "useSMPAPIfalse=" as well as "useSMPAPI=true" in there…
Hmm, so I tried SMP API 0.7 and it doesn't crash for me… so maybe the issue is just with more current versions.
