i cannot get this to work.
i had it working earlier before my world was this large, and then suddenly it loads all the way, and then completely stops.
any advice?
Could we get an update to the mac, java version? i downloaded and and loaded a small map but i cant even find the cave mode or anything. i downloaded what you just linked but i dont think it will work for macs. i could try it out on my laptop, and i might, but try and atleast get the updated mac version. Then go make that treasure map idea :smile.gif: I love it! and i you can even add the depth that would be epic.
really? i was able to load world 1 but not the world i actually use. You should try to get a mac version back out. it dosnt need everything but the oblique and a way to help us find dungeons or diamonds would be nice.
This is an awesomely useful tool! Thanks for making it available. I tried Cartograph and was disappointed to find that I couldn't get it to work, but the Topographical Survey runs like a dream on my system (WinXP running on a Dell XPS m1710 laptop).
My feature request, if you plan on doing any more work on it down the track: could you make it possible to choose to not include the trees in the cave render? My map has a *lot* of trees on, to the point that they obscure the caves pretty thoroughly in places on the cave render. Having a choice of not including them in the cave render would be very helpful!
Can you please add an option like the cartographer one where it only shows one kind of block, eg. clay or mossy cobblestone? Because then it would be easier to find those things, and I don't think it would be too hard to program.

Vicious, what texture pack is that in your avatar?
I downloaded MTS, .net4, and even have my MineCraft world I want to render open, but it tells me that 1+ errors occurred while looking for world data. Help? My map is >10 MB, so size isn't a problem.
For some reason when I try to render my newly made worlds it gives me the error "Rendering Failed: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute." I can't think of a single reason as to why it would do this - it renders my old worlds with new 1.2 chunks just fine.

Yeah I was having the same problem. just run Delete Cache.exe and you'll be good to go.

Thanks :biggrin.gif:
Had to go use cartographer for a while.. The rendering was about the same, but the interface was terrible.
I don't think it will be getting an update. As far as I know it still hasn't been made to work with materials from the nether... Any blocks it doesn't recognize it shows as a purplish color.

Wait.. what? are those DUNGEONS?
More on-topic.... This is a nice prgroam. I think I find myself using it more than cartographer!

Once again, thanks for making such a useful tool!

Best way is to save a copy of the world and then using paint or picture viewer or something and then zoom in
