Can you make a quick video on what to do with this file? Its insane to me, I installed blender and played with the file but dont know how I can do anything with it. I am a cinema 4d modeller and animator too so I didn't think it would be this hard to figure out this program, it seems to work nothing like normal 3d modeling tools.
OK so I got blender 2.49b and downloaded your blend file from MediaFire. Now I opened it and all i see is the tools... where are the blocks and monsters? :ohmy.gif:

Well, maker say nope! I made that animation, blocks, player, and creeper from scratch. I took the textures and uvmapped and rigged and everything by myself in like an hour or two, probably less. I originally showcased it over at facepunch and then made my friend an avatar out of it, I don't think he's using it anymore though :tongue.gif:
I also worked on Minequest (clickity!) for a short time, but I couldn't continue that since having to manually make the world as I went on was a huge hassle.
(Original, hosted on my dropbox)
Here are some other of my small works, if anybody's interested.
As you've probably noticed, almost everything I do features the character I used from minequest. This is because I honestly can't ass myself to create new skins lol
for simple things, yes. For multi-res / massive rendering with things like AO and SSS, no. (Ambient Occlusion;Sub-Surface Scattering)
Man, it took me WAY too long to make this. I guess that's what I get for spending an afternoon giving myself a crash course in Blender. :biggrin.gif:

Would have posted it elsewhere, and sooner, but you know... >_>
Hows the python import script going? Definite want.
You've got a little hiccup at the left corner there; a grass-topped tile is under another one.

saw that block, and was like "I don't even care"
