Wait... You can change sounds? I thought that people had tried and failed before...
The trick is, you have to replace your sounds after logging in each time. The client will sync with the server with the little download screen. Hence, when you get to the main menu after logging in/going offline, you have to replace them each time you boot up the game.
you should update this to work with the new update... because it doesnt work at all anymore... so please update the sound swapper pleeeaase! here is a video with my smpts to get it to work... help me out
I used this to replace some of the creeper sounds with TF2's scout sounds. The thing is, every time i do it, the sounds are made longer and sound much deeper and it really ruins it.
You know, you could use Sound Mod Enabler instead. Is there any reason you want this one instead? There's also Risugami's AudioMod which can do the same thing, and even increases functionality! Is there something that this (the sound swapper) does, that the other two I just linked can't do? Considering that this one is outdated, and no longer works with Minecraft (and hasn't been bumped in awhile on top of that), I'd suggest you try looking elsewhere (for example, the links I posted). Mouser X over and out.

just wait a few secs until you have sound again. How do I convert to .ogg files btw?
Everytime, yes. Start a game up? I dunno, every time I did it I just logged in and swapped. For me it used to be a 100% chance thing, always working, but after this recent revision it only rarely works, it'll either:
1) "Swap" and the sounds are just normal again instantly like I didn't do anything
2) Everything goes quiet because its redownloading
3) It actually works.
This is what is happening to me too... It gets insanely annoying fighting with the picky sound swapper.
Any time I try to go, it says it redirects too much. I need this so i can actually play minecraft on normal and not be scared to death of mob sounds! I'm looking at you guys.
I NEED HELP WITH THIS! WHEN I CLICK ON THE DOWNLOAD IT GIVES ME THIS MESSAGE:
The page isn't redirecting properly

Guys, the OP hasn't been on here since last October. If he ever comes back, I'm sure it'll be updated. Until then, use the mirror link that's already been posted.
when i try to download it it brings me to zuriki.net like its supposed to but its in a differant language and there is no download button and when i try to use the mirror site it says "no file was found"
Hey Cock face, I try to go to your link and my Norton security just blocked a ****in Trojan virus. You mined me asking why theres a trojan virus on your website? Don't click on the link people, this faggot has a trojan virus in the link.
