Is it likely that MCEdit will ever be updated for Linux? The guy that hosts the server I play on used to always use this tool to transfer cities from one map to the next prior to 1.2 when the developer stopped working on it, but now the only versions out are for Windows and Mac.
Yeah. It's actually a config file in a dependency MCEdit has - pymclevel. In my build tree it's at mcedit-0.1.1\py\pymclevel\minecraft.yaml. In the binary distro, pymclevel is located in libraries.zip.
hmm so in theory it's just a matter of unpaking the zip, editing the yaml, and repacking?
0.1.2 binaries are up for OS X. Windows on the way.
Note that OS X binaries are no longer tested on 10.6 and are only tested on 10.7 and 10.8, however it should still work fine on 10.6. If it doesn't, file a ticket.
Are there any plans to include support for block IDs above 255? I'd love to use this with my mod blocks, but every time I do the world gets screwed up.
InfiCraft blocks default ID range starts at 3210, therefore every single block ends up transforming into another one or disappearing. Minecraft already has native +255 support in Anvil. It's just a bit of the surrounding code that needs patched up to work properly - like endermen's block carry list.
Some blocks do not display properly, such as upside down slabs and stairs displaying the incorrect material type. Also, upside-down slabs and stairs are not displaing, instead showing their normally oriented counterparts. Has this been addressed in some new dev build?
Mac OS X Version 10.6.7
If you've already started Srry I just love MCedit!M

I'm not sure if that's made it into the official repository yet.

would it be possible to make 2 huge kingdoms extremely easily?
I'm afraid developers just added largechest.png as updating blocks.
