Is this compatible with Forge/Feed The Beast? When I ran the version I had, my map was corrupted because this changed some of the blocks into items you normally can only get from crafting.

I think it doesn't support block ids that are 256 and above.
It will.
Check out the road map on the main site and it states that it is a planned feature for the 0.1.7 version. I'm in the same boat as you, lots of Forge mods with ID's above 256 and because of it I can't really use the program for what I want yet. Personally, I hope Codewarrior adds the support earlier than 0.1.7, but it's his program and I'm not going to pressure him. As you know - It'll be done when it's done. I'm sure you've seen enough variations of that comment on the RP2 thread.
Can't wait. Ars Magicka Mod is waiting for install.

Just of out curiosity, what is the longest time you had to wait for one operation to be finished. I had to wait about 1 hour and 10 minets for a filter.
Oh and I love this program. Good job in making it.
Uhm whenever I try to import a .inv file to mcedit, it comes up as a block of wool instead of a chest :/ am I doing something wrong? I'm doing it on a pocket edition level if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated!

When you port schematics to pocket edition it creates tons of white wool, MCEdit doesn't recognize some blocks from last updates in PE, I hope that this can be fixed soon, I think that it shouldn't be so hard to do, just update some files, Idk anything of python but I could send you any 0.5.0 pocket edition file if it's necesary to update the MCEdit.
When I try opening any of my worlds via 'Open a level', nothing happens any more. I have my Minecraft data in a different directory, for convenience reasons, in C:/Program Files/Minecraft/.minecraft, and I've tried using MCEdit 1.5.0 64-bit and 32-bit - none of which work. I tried creating a world through MCEdit and that worked fine though. The world loads up fine in Minecraft itself, I'm just trying to export a redstone creation located in said world to a schematic file for later use.
Hey
How do i install filters if i am on a mac
I cant seem to find the filter folder that is present on pc
all i have is the application itself but no folder

i was fine with speed and that but my god is this the most crazy editor guys its simple wasd is to walk around mouse is to move your head or change view, surely this could have been made with the same controls that every game has used since DOOM, and then had the extra tools i rather use world edit.
The only thing MCEdit is good for is to fix chunk errors, but there was a program called chunkster but it died. RIP chunkster.
MCEdit doesn't recognize some blocks in MCPE levels, so MCEdit needs to update the MCPE files, when you put any schematics file taken from a PC map into a PE level you will get white wool instead of crops, chests, brick stairs, glowstone, beds, etc., (+ all the PC stuff that isn't present in PE: dispenser, pumpkins, pistons...) n' if you open a PE level with MCEdit you'll see all the new items as purple blocks.
Are you trying to port a map? editing some chests content? or what?
However I'd like to ask that this pocket edition issue please, we will be very grateful.

Uhm well I'm trying to edit the contents of a chest and now I'm trying to import a schematic into my pe map and it makes the signs and chests into wool (of course there's iron doors and switches and buttons and things too but I'm taking those out)

Then you can use PocketInvEditor Pro if you hav an Android, it allows you to edit the chest content n' other entities data. To port PC schematics to PE I use to replace the unsupported blocks to any wool color (e.g. chests to brown color) then I open PocketInvEditor n' replace that color wood to the original blocks... however back up your world before use this, the PIE Pro feature is experimental still.
the funny thing is that iron doors can be ported to PE with MCEdit.

It should, cause then I could relocate my base to another world when Redpower comes out.
