codewarrior, can I just send you the world?
This is a real ****ing hassle, minecraft why do you have to change spawnpoints that I've set? :sad.gif:
The rule for spawnpoints is pretty stupid, in my opinion. You can have it at any height - you just need to have a solid block at Y=63 or Y=64. If there are air blocks at both locations, Minecraft rejects the spawn point, thinking the entire column is empty. Plus, you need to have three air blocks above your spawn point. The spawn point can be inside a rock, but the blocks above it have to be air.
The latest testing build (185 or later) will check for this and even offer to fix it for you.
I can't do anything with the Forester. I Click Filter, but nothing generates. I have a box. I get an error int he console about Invalidating Box. I'm trying to do the floating island. Nothing the filters works. I'm using the 64bit version. Should I try the x86 version?
Trying to get this to work, but it's not. Please help.

Okay, so what you're simply saying is I have to make my room one block higher and make the floor of the main dirt area one bit higher (it's at Y 62)?
FINALLY! I moved the dirt up to 63 Y and moved the spawnroom roof up one floor, and now its working flawlessly!
Thanks once again, codewarrior.
Q: "The application could not start because the application configuration is incorrect" or similar
A: Install the Visual C 2008 Runtime from Microsoft.
I would like the ability to change the "Generate Structures" option for existing worlds, so that I can make sure there will be NPC villages in the new chunks of the old world I'm migrating to 1.8 (well, possibly 1.9).
I have the same problem as creeper helper and Bonehead
My mouse freezes when i try to import and McEdit crashes after a press the windows key to regain control of my mouse
Win XP 32 bit, MCEdit stable30 32bit
minecraft 1.8.0
Trying to get this to work, but it's not. Please help.
You, I can help. See the option that says "Plant on" it's not clear, but it's not saying it's going to make the block it's planting on grass. It's saying it will only generate trees on grass. You're trying to plant on all stone, so nothing is going to happen as there's no grass. To make it work, you'll either have to change it to plant on stone, or put grass on the ground where you intend to select to make it grow.
Have a very complicated question to ask: Is it possible to remove a building I build in a saved game for 1.7.3 and transplant it into my saved game for 1.8.1? When all the mods I previously have get updated, that would be well worth donating to see.
I guess no one knows then.

Does the toolbar at left show the "Export Schematic" option in yellow text? If not, make sure you have a cuboid selected and have the Area Selection tool active.
From the wealth of information you've provided, I have two possible solutions for you.
- Download and reinstall MCEdit
- Reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows. (I'm not kidding. I don't know what state your computer is in and this is the easiest way to get you into a known-good configuration.)
If you want to be taken seriously, there are four pieces of information requested of you at the top of the original post. Minecraft Version, MCEdit Version, Windows/OS X/Linux Version, and contents of log window or error log.
ya i was pissed at the time, sry. i redl'd 4 times, 2 times being the other version for windows, i had mc closed, but i think the prob is the mouse desnt transfer over from mcedit to the file, so i have to enter the name of EVERYTHING i need. please reply and fix. and no im not re downloading and installing windows! i use 1.8, which is compatible with mcedit 30 apparently, i use windows xp, and theres no error.

This is a new problem. When did it start happening? Did it work correctly in any earlier versions?

The mods I want to use will be updated soon and I want to transfer a house I built from my old world to the new one I made.

This may be my own fault... but I can't figure out how to rotate/flip/mirror etc. schematics blocks or any other type of blocks. :/ What am I doing wrong? haha
Other than that, this tool is SUPER amazing and I have encountered virtually no problems.

Can't you just save your building as a .schematics file? Once it finishes copying the building there is a gui in the upper-right hand of the screen that says "delete" and "save" If you click save you can save it as a .schematic and put it easily in any world...

I'll try that and see if it works.
