Huh? You can, unless you placed it. When you place a mobspawner, it's a block. When Minecraft places a spawner (I.E. a dungeon), it's a TileEntity. I'm working on a converter.

I want to place pig spawners, open my map up in MineEdit, and change them to Skeleton Spawners. Currently, there is a drop down menu that looks like it allows me to do this, but it does not have any effect, things remain pig spawners. Is that what the converter you are working on will do?
The tile entities still won't show any of my double chests. It will show single chests, but editing these doesn't work properly, and it doesn't show the correct contents (I assume it's my chest because it says "0m away" from "me," though it might be a dungeon chest due to the type of contents and the fact that a Skelly spawn is also listed).

Not much was shown in the chest (1 bread, 1 Redstone, 1 iron ingot, and 3 Gunpowder), and the spawner is 300+ blocks away. I think the distance for that chest is broken. Even far away, it says its 300 away from me, while the spawner is 700 away. Weird.
EDIT: Upon clicking "to me" the distance to the chest is now 1, while the spawner is still 700. So yeah, it's broken.

I cannot change my spawn position. I have clicked on "Set Spawn to Player Pos" both in-game and out-of-game saving each time, but my spawn position never actually changes to my player position. What's going on?
I'm still puzzled by the coordinates system Notch uses. I've even poked around in his decompiled code (with permission) and only ended up making it worse. I've also done some major code refactoring lately, which doesn't help things. So yeah, lots of stuff is broken still, even after all this time. I'm not as smert as some of the other modders here, so it'll take me longer to figure some of this stuff out, but I'll get it fixed eventually. I've got some of your issues of my task list, and they're slowly getting checked off, in addition to other things.

Nah, I think he actually means the block converter, like, the removal of snow and ice by converting them to still water and air kind of stuff. It's not working on my version either, and with the advent of boats, id really like to be able to direct people to this awesome program when they ask how to get rid of the ice on their map!

Using MCEdit, you can import an Indev map into Infdev and place it wherever you like. It's still in Alpha though so watch for bugs.
