Sounds useful
Yup, it is.
Just updated the mod. Added few more tools in it.
I noticed you are doing mod showcases, would you be interested on doing one for this?
I might add more to the mod later on though. So it's a WIP. I have some ideas what to add to it. Also open for suggestions!

First off, I'd love to do a showcase, but let me get some suggestions out there first
It's a great concept, and in my own YT series, I am upset 'cause none of the mods I have installed allow me to mine larger areas of blocks. I think, to make this mod complete, all you need to do is add tiers for the tools: diamond (using diamond blocks to make) and Netherite (when 1.16 hits). I would absolutely love a 3x3 pickaxe.
The axe is very useful, the path/road maker is somewhat useful, if you like making paths (lol). The scythe is somewhat niche, avoiding the flowers, but has its uses, so why not. What I found most useful was the planter and the harvester. That harvester, only breaking mature crops, is brilliant. All this mod is missing is a 3x3 mining pickaxe (make it expensive, that's fine!) and perhaps a diamond tier for durability/speed upgrades. Other than that, it really hits all the marks, I'd use it in a Modded Forge Survival Series, since there are so few mods that have that capability.
Let me know what you think of those. When you feel you're ready to present the mod to the world, I'll happily do a spotlight for it, 'cause it's a mod I'd use
[EDIT: It just occurred to me. Call the 3x3 mining tool the sledgehammer You're welcome, lol ]
Thanks for the huge feedback! It really helps me keep going with this mod and making something new.
3x3 pickaxe has been in my mind, haven't really done it, because I've seen some other mods doing it. Of course, it would fit in the mod very well. I might do that next. Sledgehammer sounds like a fitting name for it thanks!
Tiered tools could be good also. Though it would only improve durability in some of the tools, by how they work. There is no mining speed or such related to those tools, except the pickaxe and axe. Maybe rework the path maker and road maker as better shovels too, they kinda are already.
Axe was the tool I started with, didn't see any tools for that, except excavation mods, so I wanted to make a specific tool for the job. Right-clicking with that axe btw tells how many log blocks there are in the tree from that block up.
Tilling tools, planter, harvester, grass scythe and watering can go well together. Might add another tier to grass scythe that slices all the plants.
Need to think about the speed upgrades, or maybe extend the area radius upgrade for some of the tools could be interesting.
Have you tried the Spawner Locator and Slime Locator? I would like to get feedback on those too. Are they confusing to use? Too easy, too hard? Add more info in the tooltip on how they work? (Using the built-in debug tool to see chunk edges helps alot: F3+G)
Thanks for the feedback again! I will start working on those things and keep you updated.

Just to make sure I'm using them correctly, the spawner locator reveals if there's a spawner within 3x3 chunks centered on you? That's what I think I'm seeing. Also, the Slime Locator just tells you if it's a slime chunk? Just the one you're standing in? Just wanna make sure all the mechanics are correct...
But yeah, I would have the Chopping Axe have a diamond tier with 3 Diamond Blocks, chops the whole tree, but does it faster than the Iron one. Then maybe a Diamond Harvesting Sickle and Crop Planter, doing a 9x9 area, so you can do whole fields. Use diamond blocks, so it's stupid expensive, but it's handy enough I'd probably use it. Then, of course, using the Sledgehammer for 3x3 at iron tier, faster 3x3 at diamond tier, or 5x5.
For the Road and Path Makers, don't use the word "dampen," because that makes me think it turns it into hydrated farming soil. Use "flattens" or something. Just ideas.
You are correct with the locator-items. If there are multiple spawners around it can be hard to find the center chunk where the spawner is. Otherwise, you can find it easier. Anyway that usually means there is probably cave-spider spawners around. I kinda like it, that it doesn't give it a way too easily, you still have to dig down and find the spawner, it just makes it easier to find them from the surface where it's easy to walk around.
Maybe 9x9 radius things would be some kinda upgrades you could add. I think some would still like 3x3 diamond sledgehammer for example. But with farming tools they could be tiered to diamond I think. I need to test it out.
Yeah, "dampen" might not be the best word for it. I'll update that too. Also, language support for other languages would be nice. It actually supports language packages. So if anyone is interested making translations to other languages, speak up.
Thanks again for the great feedback!
I'm honored if you are going to use the mod in your Modded Forge Survival Series

Hey, just wondering if there was an update to this mod I really did like it.
Yes, but I'm still working on it. I'm adding the sledgehammer, but it has couple issues that I need to still figure out.
Useful tools - Early game items for your building and farming needs.
Well, quite looking forward to it, then
New version (0.2.2) is now available. It includes Sledgehammers tiered by crafting materials: smoothstone, iron blocks, gold blocks and diamond blocks. These support enchantments(fortune, efficiency, silk touch), that was the part that was hard to figure out, but got it eventually working just right.
I'm still thinking how to do a radius upgrades on tools, but that's totally other thing. It needs some work still. But the hammers should work now just fine.

Ooh, downloading now
[EDIT: Yeah, this mod's become a must-have for me, lol. All I did was start mining with an enchanted sledgehammer and knew it'd be a thing. Very very nice job! The timing of all this is funny, because while I've been recording my modded survival series, the one thing I was upset about was that I didn't have anything that mined more than 1x1. All the mods in the pack I assembled, no wider tools. This is 100% going into Season 2, absolutely love it!]
Updated the mod to 1.16.3 now.
I'm currently working on update for 1.16.5.
EDIT: Updated the mod to Minecraft 1.16.5 version.
It didn't took so long after all than I thought.

Updated the mod to Minecraft 1.18.2 and 1.19.2. Enjoy!
Jump from 1.16.x to 1.18.x was bit painful, but doable. After that update to 1.19.x was a cakewalk.
