What is this mod about?
Rune Craftory is a mod based on a series of games called Rune Factory (RF) which in turn are a spinoff from the series Harvest Moon (HM).
Additional to the farming and social aspect of HM you can fight and tame monsters.
Every action the player makes takes a certain amount of rune points (a.k.a. stamina a.k.a. RP). If you run out, you'll start to use your HP for tasks so pay attention. The player can refresh their rune points by sleeping and eating. You can also grow the big amount of crops this mod adds but now to the better part:
The monsters in this mod aren't spawning like normal vanilla mobs but are coming through a gate. A gate will keep spawning monsters until it is destroyed. There are also bosses which spawn one time a day in certain spots. All monsters can be tamed and they can help you farming and fighting. To tame a monster give it an item. Giving them their favorite item will increase the taming chance and boss monsters can only be tamed that way.
The items dropped by them can be used to make armor, weapons and all kinds of stuff.
4 kinds of "crafting tables" where you make can your stuff:
Forge: for weapons and tools
Accessory Bench: for armor
Pharmacy: healing and other potions
Cooking table: food
To get recipes for the items you need a Research table. Every recipe needs a bread, paper and the category specifig items:
Forge: any diamond
Accessory: any kind of mineral from this mod
Pharmacy: any kind of herb from this mod
Cooking table: any food with a food point higher than 3
(Since no recipe actually exists except for the forge only the forge works currently)
9 types of weapons:
Shortswords: They have a shorter range and attack power but are quite fast. Can also hit multiple monsters in a small radius.
Longsword: Bigger range and more attack power but kinda slow. Cleave radius is decent.
Spear: Quick and with big range, but can only attack one mob at a time.
Axe: Slow but strong and with normal range. Can also attack multiple mobs in a big radius. Has a higher chance to do criticals.
Hammer: Slow but strong and with normal range. Can also attack multiple mobs in a big radius. Has a higher chance to stun enemies.
Dual blades: Very quick but lacks attack power. Has an okeyish cleave radius.
Fists: Fast and strong but with short range. Can pickup mobs.
Staffs: Its maagicc. Can cast spells to damage enemies or healing you.
Farmtools: Normal range, low attack power. It's a farmtool...
All melee weapons have a charge ability you can use if your skill level is at least level 5 for that type of weapon.
Damage is scaled towards other minecraft mobs so the weapon won't do the damage it says in the tooltip.
Core feature around 95% (fight, rp, spawning, crafting, whats mostly missing are stats adjustment etc.)
Monsters and crops ... hm... around 5%? (There are a lot, but the base classes are already done)
Items... around 10% (also base classes done. stats missing though)
Stat adjustment also have to still be made. Current stats are neither final nor intended and only serve as a way of testing stuff.
