Hello fellow Minecraft modders and mod players! In case you don't know, ClassicCraft is a new mod for old versions of Minecraft known as Classic; we plan to release it Summer 2017. For more information, click here to go to the original thread where I first wrote about ClassicCraft. On this page, we will have updates on its development in the form of replies here. We also work to preserve these Classic versions, as many of them are lost. We can't, however, discuss this on the forum, so if you'd like to discuss it or maybe send us a lost version, check out our official Twitter page.
EDIT: As of May 29, 2017, we are looking for volunteer programmers. If you know how to program in Java, please PM me if you'd like to join the team.
Today marks many changes for ClassicCraft. Instead of having one version that the mod is compatible with, which is currently 0.30_01, we will be adding compatibility for 0.23_01. So far, this only affects Launcher Mode (coming this Summer), and we plan to host only 0.30_01 on Online Mode (coming this Fall). Note that both versions will be playable in the launcher. The reason we're doing this is because most players tend to find more nostalgia in earlier versions that have differences from later ones (for example, gold blocks had a different texture in 0.23_01, so people tend to like that one more than 0.30_01). We hope this makes sense. We may edit this post with more updates sometime today. Have a great day! -Sheep
