1)I can't find the schematics folder. There aren't any in .minecraft, my modpack folder or on the desktop(for example Schematica mod always puts his folders there...).I'm playing on xubuntu, linux os with the special launcher,so i can use any folder for launching-maybe it's the reason?I tried changing the schematics folder path in the config to my modpack path, but with no result=(
2)I want to use this mod for placing biome-specific custom trees in the world, using marvellous biomes from both BiomesO'Plenty and Highlands, totally replacing the trees from mods and vanilla. Can I make it with StructPro?How should i define,in what biome and with what density should each tree schematic spawn? In .bo2 i did it through the options in the file itself, but i can't open .schematic ...i'm such a noob) That job could also be done with terrain control mod,but it's such a pain in the..(

1) You need to put schematics folder in your minecraft root directory, at the same level with mods folder, saves folder, screenshots folder etc.
For example, my path goes: /home/ternsip/.minecraft/schematics
Checkout this: <your minecraft pack loacation>/schematics
2) That's intersects with mod logic, but very weakly. You can't do 1:1 exactly what you expect, because it's for strongly diffused structures in the game world. And if you try to scatter structures (that are trees only) too close, it will be hard to control in biomes, because it's automatic process. So, it's mainly for other purposes, like generating dungeons, mountains, underwater secrets, castles, houses, villages, floating islands, nether palaces, homes, ruins, mazes, ships, statues, bunkers, etc. There is a big collection of different and best structures, but you can make your own schematic set with trees only.
Wow,thank you for the answer I just thought the schematics folder(empty by default) will be generated by the mod itself with the first start...Well,as for trees,I was looking for some light mod, which will help to do that without terrain-control,it's to laggy on my PC,and making mountain biomes there is an awful job.Anyway,I will certainly try your Placemod for 1.7.10 to make the world more interesting:)
Along with the endless amounts of awesome structures, I love what this mod (and its predecessor) does to the loot found within the chests in the generated structures. The randomness of the loot is such a cool and fun feature!

try the ancient trees mod it adds some pretty unique trees that you could use in world gen
