Hey I really love Roots, it seems very down to earth and doesn't add a million new ores to the world. Are you going to be adding any more stuff to it? It looks like Roots 1 had a bit more neat stuff in it.
Has anyone gotten the ignem reactor to work in 1.12, and if so, any tips?
I understand the mod is beta stage and unfortunately Elucent no long intends to work on this sweet mod, but wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or if it just isn't functional.
I've got the chambers set up with the reactor adjactent to the top parts, I pipe redstone into the catalyst chamber, coal into the combustion chamber (same amount as the redstone), and a single ember crystal into the ignem reactor. All the items go in. I've tried receptors on the top and bottom parts of the chambers and on the side, top, and bottom of the ignem reactor. No crystals are popping out and it doesn't appear that the ignem reactor actually starts working.
I think I found your issue from what you said. I tried it myself and got it working after playing with it a bit in creative. You're using receptors instead of emitters. If you have a copper cell available, put a receptor on that and link it to a emitter on the ignem reactor. The reactor should flare a bit when you fuel it and when you flip the lever on the emitter it should send ember to the cell.
In Vallen's first video (Sneak Preview) it says to Shift Right Click on both the EMBER RECEPTOR and the EMBER EMITTER, BUT, when this didn't work for me googled it and found it is Shift Right Click on Receptor, then Right Click on the Emitter. Just posting this in case it's the same problem for you.
Gosh, I wonder if you've encountered some kind of bug? I don't have alot of experience either but it seems that you would want to add another 23 of the ash to the appropriate pedestal.
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the transmutation of items in 1.12? I've been trying to upgrade some of the tools. I don't have much experience with this, but based on what I've seen it appears that we should be able to take something like the grandhammer and then by using "heat" which are basically like iquana's tool levels, and then with enchanted boost the hammer way up. But, what kind of damage are we looking at?
I hate to say it, but it feels somewhat mid tier.
I've been trying to attack dragons from Ice and Fire mod and haven't had much luck using ashen armor and trying to add the inflictor gems to the cloak. Not much luck. I'm just getting turned into KFC! LOL!
I'm all ears for any suggestions.
Regarding some of the things I've seen around the web, I also like this mod mainly because it's concept is so great. I don't particularly care if it repeats a few things that other mods do already, I like that this mod does it differently. I use this with mods like Tinker's and am quite happy with them side-by-side.
Although, I would love to see a fluid pump. I noticed that at some point there were plans for one on the Github, but who knows? According to the Curse Forge page this mod is now maintained by a new person.
But, thanks Elucent for making this. I haven't been able to figure it all out and I really have been enjoying it.

Is the Eye of The Ancients still part of the mod (1.12.2)?
I've killed a lot of Golems, using a pick for the final blow, but haven't got the Eye.
Getting RSI from running around looking for the wretched Golems lol.
NM - found out it has been discontinued in 1.12.2 and just to use the Codex.
Need help with Alchemy: my first recipe and it isn’t working. What am I doing wrong?
Ok I know this thread may be dead but I cannot find topics of discussion anywhere else. I have a current issue with the autohammer.
Armor seems to crash the server when trying to break it down into its base components while using an autohammer.
Anyone else know a fix or why? I do have a large mod list but mostly issues remain local to Ember and linking ember mods (Like soot).
