Nether has bedrock removed on both sides and netherrack placed outside vanilla boundaries. I don't know what happens at Y<0 on The End but you should be able to build higher at least.
Currently to fall out of the end you will need to fall all the way down to about -1.000.000.000 blocks. So this will be changed.
Hey, you can take my Code for Advanced World settings, it includes Cave, Ravine, Village and Mineshaft Rates/Sizes
I may be interested, but would be nice to actually discuss it on discord. I already have cave and ravine cstomization, But actually working vollage and mineshaft code would be interesting. I honestly don't have a clear conceptual idea for how to make villages work.
When will be released the first alpha or beta of the mod?
It isn't quite at alpha yet, but there have been two devbuilds in the last two days, and a lot of forward progress. If you absolutely must have the mod, it can be found on the Discord.
finally decided to be active on the forum thread for once but it looks like there isnt anything going on

I am very happy to see that this mod is making progress. I've been waiting for a long time for a mod like this to come out, it will make the project I'm working on so much better. When the mod is finally released, what minecraft version will it be?

At present we have builds for 1.10.2, 1.11.2 and 1.12.1. The main one is 1.11.2, and 1.10.2 is a backport that I do not know how long it will be supported-- likely at least until the alpha is released.
Anyway to get the dev build without joining the Discord? If I did join I would just leave again and I feel that would be kind of rude. I already have too many servers im in to keep track of with my rodent grade attention span so I would really like to avoid adding another if possible D:

I asked if there was a way to get the dev version without joining the Discord, not about the source.. sorry but some people have attention span issues and im already in too many Discord servers so im not joining another ill never use except to download something that can easily be hosted elsewhere. While I could probably compile that's not happening either because again, attention span issues. If I did join the Discord, like i said, I would just leave again right after downloading it and sorry but im not wasting my time doing that when I can be learning how to model or experimenting with WSL. Better to find a way to cut out the middle man in the first place then screw myself over. I just so happen to have extreme ADHD with completely crap memory so you can imagine going over a certain limit of servers for me will end poorly.
So.. yeah. I wasn't kidding when I said "I already have too many servers im in to keep track of with my rodent grade attention span", if anything that was a understatement. I just use the rodent comparison since its easier to explain like that in the long run.
Now to anyone else: Is there really no way to get the dev version without resorting to basically torturing myself?
There is nothing I can do, and there isn't much I should expect them to do, because mods do in fact have access to all Minecraft internals.
If so many of them use similar methods, can't you write tests for at least the methods you know about, and then have said test load some edge case code to patch it? I'm not saying it wouldn't be hackish, but it might work.
I wanted to personally thank you for taking the time and effort to work into making Cubic Chunks available once again.
As a person who has been a vanilla-only player (barring Optifine) since I started playing five years ago and a huge fan of the already present Customized world type, I really couldn't have hoped for a better introduction to modded Minecraft. There's just no way to replicate the feeling of being at the ocean floor, 100,000 blocks beneath the surface, or that of climbing or even just looking up at a eight thousand block tall mountain, which stretches so far up that you can't even see the top with the highest render distance possible!
It's pretty incredible how a mod with a simple concept, like raising the world's height limit, can be so game changing. Even if this is still a work-in-progress mod, I just feels so right for the game that I couldn't resist staying away from it. I know that completely revamping the way chunk storage works probably wasn't easy in the slightest, so again, thank you so much for making this available.
Until now I have only seen the pictures, but I know how you feel. I always felt limited in vanilla. The same things, the same story, only a different region. Modded minecraft really restored all the enthusiasm I had for this game and added even more to it!
Still, everytime I reach hight 200 or above I am reminded once more of the limits...

Yes, I AM a Vampire. Nice of you to notice.
Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?
Posting to watch.
Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
You should join the discord.

If you absolutely must have it without joining the Discord server, you can compile it from source here: https://github.com/OpenCubicChunks/CubicChunks
Otherwise, head to the Discord server.
Out of curiosity, how close is this mod to being finished? I'm starting on building a skyscraper and this mod will come in handy really soon
I will patiently wait for any progress reports.

If this gets compatable with enough other mods, I've got to make a pack around this, wow...
I just released an alpha version of the mod "Spawn Commands Teleport" that is supposed to support this mod (cubicchunks).
This was requested by Zeldon567_ and I am happy to help with this request.
The download link is:
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/spawncommands-spawn-commands-teleport/files/2524509
The following wrong link is what i originally posted here but there is a tested working version out now and linked above.
minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/spawncommands-spawn-commands-teleport/files/2522481
The file name is:
SpawnCommands-2.7.2alpha-mc1.12.2-forge-NoYLimitsConfigOption.jar
my published mods
I would like to express my moral support.
I have long waited for a mod that does just that!
I will now head for the discord. Bye!
