I'll try to keep this going. First priority will be to port it to a newer version of Minecraft, because that is probably easier than implementing dual wield by myself. Which version would you prefer?
Also, I feel that as you get gear, you become a little bit too strong. I am fine with that, if it takes resources to use the spells. How would you feel about having items required to cast spells, and/or waaaay lower mana regen?

wouldn't it be cool if the stats of your armour randomised as you picked it up to reflect your current level?
In the 1.13 remake, I will make it more RPG-like. When you pick up an exp-orb, it will increase your enchantment-level like always, and also your class level. As your class level increases, you will get some stat increases and a talent point.
When it comes to gear, there will be regular white gear, which is the items from the original game, and maybe spears that can be made of the original materials. This items might get random stats added to them when crafted. If so, they will apear to be either green or blue depending on how many stats are added.
There will also be some very special items, that are epic or even legendary (purple or orange). They will either be made with some complicated crafting recipe and/or made of rare materials like wither skulls, nether stars, or from the very rare willow tree. Epic items will have high stats, while legendary items will have rather low stats. The legendaries however, will have a very high "enchantability". The enchantability is a stat that determins how much additional power the player can add to the item through either regular enchanting, or by enchanting it with special effects like the soul eating effect on Frostmourne, that makes its power increase as you kill things with it.
When it comes to Frostmourne and Atiesh, these weapons will no longer be available through crafting, but will be rewards from quests.
What do you think?

I think that if the abilities are too strong, instead of nerfing the spells and abilities, make more wow based mobs that fit better with the spells. you could start with bear and work your way up to the bosses. give this mod an even more wow feeling

And where do you want the bosses to be located?

Nothing. People didn't seem very interested and none of my friends care for Minecraft, so I couldn't see the point anymore. It was initially meant to be a project to teach my GF how to code Java

I realized that it's gonna be a LOT of work to port it to 1.12, so I'll keep going in 1.7.10. Anyways, take a look at the new staff.
Atiesh will be a pure power item, that is very good for offensive classes. This staff will be tailored for druids. Input pls?
