My name is KnightDemon and I know there are quite a few people out there that have wanted a Jak and Daxter mod for quite some time and after spending over a year of just slowly making models for one and seeing someone post on a dead thread, I decided it was finally time I made this mod. Granted I'm not the best modder out there by far, but I hope this mod goes that little extra for all you Jak and Daxter fans, and maybe some new ones that are just curious as to what this really is.
DISCLAIMER : This mod is going to be regarded as a Work In Progress [WIP], so if you find any bugs please report them and don't expect the greatest of work, but do try to enjoy.
Current released update version - 0.2.0 (released 21st January 2017)
This mod is built for Minecraft 1.7.10, do not use on other versions.
I'm not the best texturer or coder, I've mentioned this, but I did try with this mod and I hope that those of you reading this would be so kind as to give me feedback on as much of the mod as you can. Whatever comes to mind really. I will start off here by going through a bit of the mod.
Features
The following should be a helpful guide to what's included in the mod. Entities
Lurkers are the main enemey in the 1st game of Jak and Daxter so play the most in this mod, Metal Heads and other enemies shall join us in the future, but for now there's only 5 Lurkers and a special Entity I hope you all like to play with, warning, it's a little hard to control.
5 different Lurker mobs, all drop Eco uncommonly, Precursor orbs Rarely, Precursor Power Cells, VERY rarely.
AGrav Zoomer - Use the spawner item on Precursor Metal Block.
Items
Mostly Items in this mod, some might be deemed as blocks too, look below. Eco's I'll class as items as that's what I registered them as.
ALL 6 Eco colours in item form - run through to activate powers.
Precursor Metal Ingot - look below for associated items.
Eco gloves (not canon so to speak) - used to pick Eco's up and ride the Zoomer!
Lurker spawn eggs - Can have Mob Spawners spawn them too, look below for code.
Weapons
Eco Powers in the game are the main principle of everything so just like the games, yellow Eco can fire an energy blast.
Yellow Eco - Fires an Energy Blast. - Just punch to fire, hold the gloves at same time for better fire rate.
Dark Eco Bomb - Acts like a Grenade - Could be used for blast mining instead.
Blocks
Not that many blocks added so far, but I am guessing quite a few will be added in future.
Precursor Metal (Ore, Block, Stairs, Several Decorative Blocks).
Precursor Orb and Precursor Power Cell (run through them!!)
Locked Box (can store up to 10 of the base 4 eco, is easily destroyed)

For Next Update
The next update will be a long way away but I feel it will be the biggest one I do and if successful will push the mod from alpha to beta. It will include new blocks and items, at least 2 new features for the mod and armours and weapons the first 3 games.
Known Bugs
Fish swimming AI is bugged or not working, hard to tell.
Not a bug but a nuisance, the controls of the Zoomer are weird.
Afterthought's I'm not very good at modding in general and this mod, along with another mod I've already released (Legacy of Kain themed / also known as the "Blockacy of Kain" mod) I hope to help me to learn Java programming and to give me some sort of structured project that I will have complete control over, to work on at least every weekend. I do have other half made mods already that I did for fun, if I can get them to work in the end I'll release them too, if any of you will be following my progress then thank you.
I love everything about this mod the same the mobs and everything else the only problem I saw was
they didn't fit in the boxes properly and the spawn rate of the mobs on a flatworld was a tad high
I noticed that too prob bcs spawn rate on planes biome is a bit high over all the mobs look cool and fit perfuct in the minecraft world.
Altho i would like to add that zoomer crashes the game when not used with glove dont know if that is the bug or not.
Cant wait for more updates and news on this mod love it
When I get some spare time I'll update the 1.7.10 version with fixes (so the crashing with the zoomer doesn't happen) and maybe a few small additions then I'll work on a 1.8.9 version. Then maybe work on a 1.10 (or further) version and concurrently add the same stuff to each version till it's pointless updating older versions or I can't do something I want with an older version and put it to a close.

Very slowly, I did post a message on the first post (and also added your screenshots and a mod showcase video).
I'll be doing some modding work every week, might not be this mod, but I will be doing some work each week for guaranteed so that I have some structure in my life, I need it. I have an idea for breakable chests like from Jak and Daxter but I need to actually start on coding it, but thinking about how it would work I can see it definitely working.
I'll do a little Jak 2 gun or armour making after I've made those so that you can play with those. So keep an eye out in January.

Just thought I'd post a little information update.
I was ill last weekend so didn't get anything done, however the weekend before I got a few things half finished.
Breakable blocks and crates are on their way, I'm just having a little trouble figuring out how to make it generalized so that I don't have to have copies of the same file over and over again for the different destructible blocks (eg, different eco crates). I think I've fixed the Zoomer crashing some people when not using the eco gloves, will need testing once released. I have adjusted the speeds of the rat and spider from some feedback I received saying they could be faster.
I'm also requesting any weapon textures that anyone might have or are willing to submit. Specifically Jak 2 gun textures, it would allow me to start work on them at least and I only ask for any because it saves me time, allows you to help and I'm not much of a texturer.
What I'm working on now is to finish off the breakable crates, maybe start work on Jak 2 guns (texture required) but will also start work on some more precursor metal decorative blocks, if they get a function in future then great if not, decorative is always nice.
If there's any specific things from Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy (not from the other games) that anyone would like to see in the mod sooner, please let me know.

Those are all nice but I didn't say stuff to add in general, I meant stuff that you specifically want to see. Those are all going to be added eventually but are those things you specifically want to see in the mod as soon as possible? I will however talk through them right now though, and await your answer as to whether you really want to see them as soon as or just thought I was looking for ideas of what to add.
I would like to have the portals up and running but that's a tricky one, the warp pads (the blue pad for zoomer) will be a similar problem so both of these will go in together at one point. Eco jump pads affect the players jump height for an instance, might be doable but it would require the blue eco potion effect to be active at the time of jump, which I'm not sure how to check for in terms of this, might be a simple "event" though. Eco vents are something I want however it's making it balanced but they'll come as soon as I've made a model and worked out the kinks.
Problem ones you've mentioned :
Scout flies : what is their purpose other than to be there? how are they obtained and what can they be used for? I have tried to think of a reason for scout flies but haven't come up with anything myself.
Cannon on sentinel beach : I don't remember it, I think it was used on the tower to blow up things below? if I'm correct then there isn't much of a need for this, if you think of reasons, tell me.
Oracle : okay the oracle is tricky, it's something I want, but it's also a structure but also an entity and getting it just right would be an issue. I could keep it an entity and trade with it "120 precursor orbs for a powercell" kind of deal or have it be constructed from two blocks (body and head) but that could also be used to spawn it in similar to iron golems or snow golems. I'll have to think it over and get feedback.

Well here we are, an update, I'm sorry I didn't get any textures made for the weapons or armour so I decided not to include them, I will also be taking a break from this mod for another one however I have big plans for this one. A week ago today I came up with a feature that would almost completely overhaul the mod itself. I don't want to go into details but it will make playing the mod quite different. If I decide to make some textures for the armour or weapons before I begin working on the new features then I'll release a small update with them and any bug fixes that I do.
Hopefully a few of the things included in this update can provide a few entertaining moments, I know that the Dark Eco Bomb might be a blast. I would recommend setting up some locked boxes (texture might change so this can be used for scout flies if I add them) and driving into them with the Zoomer. I still want to work on the controls of it but it's quite complicated for me.
As for a 1.8.9+ Minecraft version, my laptop hasn't managed to install a forge version so until I can get it set up I'll be staying on 1.7.10, my apologies for those who want a future version.

BUG? when riding the A Grav Zoomer over ocean it randomly goes under the water
