Does this newer version also work with 1.9.4?
I don't know. Probably will have to look into making a 1.9.4 version
Dude, first time I've seen a Wither Storm that actually works like story mode, congrats on that, even if I would've preferred it as a boss instead of a pet. XD Also, as purely constructive criticism, most people enjoy mods that have a more balanced feel to them. I honestly don't feel like any item attainable in vanilla survival is hard enough to get to warrant being able to summon a pet Wither Storm using it... Especially one this OP. My only suggestion to improve the Wither Storm aspect of this mod would be to require an annoying-to-build and tricky-to-use multiblock in order to craft the Command Block, like how Ellegaard was trying to do it in Redstonia during Episode 2 of Story Mode. Maybe some randomization of ingredients based on world seed too, so that people can't just post the right way to make a command block for all to see.
Edit: also, I don't recommend spawning a Storm unless you have a beefy computer, I tried it and I had to increase my memory to 2 gigs just to not lag from the first "true" stage of the storm hanging around eating blocks, and that didn't even help when it started fighting things...
I hope someday there's more magic in Minecraft, though I know it's not likely to happen. In the meantime, I play modded a lot. I enjoy a lot of other games too, so don't expect me to be on the forums all the time.
Dude. The Command block recipe has 'hard to make' written all over it. You need:
The Dragon Egg (dropped once)
A Dragon Head (Found on the End Ship)
Elytra (Also found in the End Ship)
A Name Tag (pretty difficult to obtain)
A Saddle (also pretty hard to obtain)
A Sponge (limited in number)
A Nether Star (we already know what you need to do to get that)
A Rabbit's Foot (those stupid rabbits are almost impossible to catch)
An Ender Crystal (cause I ran out of ideas)
This would be true if you didn't take into account other mods' endgame gear that lets you kill dragons and withers like it's nothing and fly all over the end to locate the ships... So it's fine if you play this mod by itself, but the fact is that most people will want to play with a whole bunch of mods installed to expand the content of the game. If you don't want to worry about this, that is your decision, but I am simply trying to help you understand why I don't recommend this for any serious modpack. And even if a modpack dev did want to include this, they'd have to add some extra memory space for the Wither Storm, which is not something many devs want to do, as not everyone has the RAM. Sorry if I sound a little harsh, I mean this in a purely constructive way. I loved the Wither Storm arc in Story Mode as much as anyone, and plus I've always loved controlling mobs, so I want this mod to succeed. Please forgive me if I think the best way to do that is to criticize its weak points so it can be made better...

It took me 5 hours to find one end city...and it didn't even HAVE an end ship. The damn things are near impossible to find.
Just pointing out what I see as flaws, no need to take them personally, it's your mod.

It's eerily quiet on all my threads. Where is everyone?
I have plans on enabling the ability to spawn in an untamed Wither Storm as a boss fight. It's so far proven to require a flying mount in order to kill it.
well can you put the red dragon from the old version that would be so cool
i mean that removed mob
After it con a certain amount of blocks/ mobs, it will progress to its next stage. The amount of blocks/mobs it needs to consume are its growth points.

can you add PAMA from MC story mode its like the boss it will control the mobs that have red eyes and they will start attack you
can you make another dragon like the red dragon that removed mob
I've thought about it. Truth be told, I don't know whether to consider PAMA a boss or an intelligent construct. Still debating on it.
I've also had the same thoughts about the various other characters/beings in MCSM.
Red Dragon was something Notch and Jeb thought about, and they never scraped it. Notch was in the process of making a dragon (took outside help), but decided to use it for the Ender Dragon. Who knows, perhaps more dragons will be added to Minecraft.
Honestly, I don't think PAMA itself would really work for any mod, but I myself have many times wished someone would make a mod that includes components to make mob control via redstone possible. Reasoning is that PAMA IMO was an intelligent redstone machine, like a far more advanced version of a Minecraft redstone computer, and had such components as part of its construction. The only reason it was treated as a boss in the episode is because its built-in AI decided to go on a rampage. This mod already lets you control mobs, so having such components wouldn't really help you here, but perhaps for another mod ("PAMA's Pieces"?) having such components would be quite nice. Who knows? Maybe someone would use it to make a map with a PAMA boss fight!
Edit: also consider using the Redstone Heart as a transmitter for the chips since redstone doesn't really need any sort of "energy source" to function in MC

0.3 of the Engender mod is out! It adds in four staffs, and a way of turning your mobs into heroes. I promise you guys, this is the last Engender mod update for a while. I'm now going back to work on the Titans mod.

What an interesting mod you have here! I absolutely adore the ai on the wither storm, taming the apocalypse sure sounds good on the ol' bucket list
ill have to take a look at it on my own time. Could the wither storm at some point have its last form where it separates into three, and those become new wither storms?
*raises an army of spiders*
Perhaps if you attempt to blow it up with a powerful explosion. I'd have to look into that, though.
