Allow me to make this perfectly clear. Unless a mod has nerfed the process you don't use the Dragon Egg to resurrect the Ender Dragon. This means every time you win you get an extra one. The only way you'd lose out on that is if you forget to harvest the Dragon Egg every time and just left it on the Ender Fountain. Then it would keep getting replaced with the next one. At least you wouldn't pointlessly lose it with the game rule active.
I need to make something perfectly clear. Unless a mod is nerfing the process you don't need a Dragon Egg to resurrect the Ender Dragon. You just need to place the four Ender Crystals right. Consult the Minecraft Wiki for more info if you need help.
Oh my gosh, your right, I thought I needed the dragon egg to respawn the ender dragon!
like c'mon mobs you can handle this. like mobs said oh-oh-oh what l do what l do what l do, shell l panic, ran away or do nothing. you know what I'm gonna shake my head and let me dead. enderman "oh ya its soo easy for me" all mobs "NOO enderman going to kill us and enderman are going to shake our heads nooo..." mobs dead
I want to play this mod in 1.12.2 too, but on the other hand I have seen people rushing creators beforehand, and I can only imagine the struggle that Andr has to go through with updating 100 Megabytes worth of code to the next version...
I think this is because they just want the Witherstorm in Minecraft.

If it isn't fixed, fix it. If it's fixed, don't break it.

Definitely not Korea.
Yeah been a while since the last update but we shouldn't rush andr, like RunicGlympsesaid updating that code will take quite a while. but since we're talking updates and all, anyone remembers the whole "Adding Sans and the twins and other video game characters to the mod" thingy? what happened to that, is it still going to happen or did you drop it, I haven't been checking on this in quite a while so I don't really know what happened while I was away.
Also on an unrelated note I agree with werff, most of these mobs are too op for vanilla Minecraft, while I like them to be as op as they are, I don't like how easy it is to tame their wild counterparts so either making them spawn less frequently or making them harder to tame would be a nice addition to the next update.
