Living Metal is a mod which adds a new material to the game - Living Metal.
Living Metal has the ability to regenerate durability and cannot be destroyed (although if reduced to 0 durability, it will be broken and you will need to wait for it to regain its durability). It also gains experience through use and will level up, gaining additional Sockets, which are used in place of Enchantments.
The only crafting recipe added thus far is for the Sword (the only tool added thus far). All other crafting recipes are done through a special "crafting shrine" structure, which is created from 4 Quartz Blocks and 1 Anvil, in the pattern shown below (also included is an example of the Living Metal Ingot recipe).
All recipes created at the crafting shrine are composed of one Catalyst, which goes on the Anvil, and 4 Ingredients, which go on the Quartz Blocks, as well as 5 Levels. This Level cost can be reduced by placing 4 Ender Crystals 2 blocks above each Quartz Block (done by placing an Obsidian block on each Quartz Block, placing an Ender Crystal on the Obsidian then removing the Obsidian). The ingredients cannot be stacked.
Tools can be crafted from Living Metal Ingots and Tool Handles, in the standard shape at a Crafting Table.
Note: Due to bugs with forge concerning NBT data and block breaking, tools regenerate durability almost instantly.
