Hello! So I checked the mod for 1.8! These are some things I noticed:[/p]
1.[/p]
- The flight of the Andean Condor looks weird. I tested the mob’s flight abilities from the ground and then from a cliff. The thing is, it looks like it just floats in the air. It doesn’t move it’s wing.[/p]
- The Anaconda animation also needs some work.[/p]
*Suggestion: you may want to use Llibrary mod for animations.[/p]
2.[/p]
- Some animals that should be aggressive for their territorial nature are not. For example: The Nile Hippo and the American Bison (at least when they have calf).[/p]
*Suggestion: Maybe imitate the Vanilla AI for Polar Bears with Cubs![/p]
3.[/p]
- I love the Orangutan. Thus I would suggest maybe a compatibility with another mod! There is a mod called: Special AI by FatherToast. When you use this mod, you can toss food at the feet of animals and they will “eat it”. Maybe, you can add a feature where you toss bananas at the feet of the orangutan and eventually will eat them.[/p]
-Also, they will attack in group if you attack one of them (you can use this feature for the baboon or other type of primates).[/p]
- There is also another mod called MC+Mod, which features a “Run AI”; by that I mean that animal mobs will avoid players and they will ran away from them. It would be nice to add this to all passive mobs.[/p]

There's the Spix's macaw, that is almost extinct on the wild.
This mod also have animals that are very rare on zoos, like Doria's tree kangaroos and Sumatran rhinoceros.

I choosed Western, but it is more fun if you choose yourself
In my opinion the Western is has a cooler look, but the Eastern is good for someone who wants super-rare animals.
There are other animals that we can choose the species/subspecies, like choose if the Giraffes will be Reticulated or Rothschild's, if the Three-toed sloths will be Brown-throated or Pale-throated, if the Bongo will be Lowland or Mountain, etc...
In some case we can even change the original species, like change the Humboldt to African penguin, the Grévy's to Plains zebra (in fact the zebra of this mod have stripes on the belly, like the Plains and unlike the Grévy's), change the Giant river to Spotted-necked otter, etc...

1mareike1, I think that you what you mean is that you'll not have separate mobs and/or spawn eggs instead of separate species, because the only GOLDEN lion tamarin is the full-golden one. I never told you to make separated mobs and/or spawn eggs, but if you're not doing just rename the "Golden lion tamarin" to "Lion tamarin"

Oh, so basically each animal is going to be an individual mob, and any subspecies/similar species will be variants? Interesting idea.
Will there be different sized variants for the animals that have species/subspecies of different sizes? (i.e, Masai giraffe is taller than the other 3 giraffe species, Siberian tiger bigger than other tiger subspecies, Sumatran elephant smaller than other Asian elephant subspecies)

Wow thanks these will be a great help for the next update and several animals do avoid players such as the Okapi

OBSERVATION: They probably were based on Western lowland gorillas, because the male have a big head.
