Looking very good, has this mod got a you-tube or deviant-art? Looks like a great mod, sadly dont know any available coders. Keep up the good work
We don't have a youtube, but we plan to have a deviantart once we upgrade our current preview images to something better. I did post some of the first models on my personal deviantart, but they are all either on the thread, or going to be revamped.

I was trying to fit Heimskr's speech into this place, but it wouldn't fit.
This mod brings back memories of this older mod I once knew that had flowing water over time carve out the land. so a river could slowly go into the ground making crevices. Of course make this configable on/off as well as how long it could take. Because it's only flowing water really affecting the landscape, it could be semi controllable and could make a cool way to terraform the landscape. And as another thing, I think volcanoes that actually spew lava would be cool. I think there could be dormat sleeping giants that at some point could erupt suddenly. Minerals could be very rich around them for both mining resources later and maybe crop growth/production due to the rich soil, but you have the risk of the volcanoe fully awakening. I know through history cities tend to be near fault lines for the high risk high reward. I'm not sure if that would fit well into this mod, but I didn't think it'd hurt to suggest either idea.
I also wanted to know if domesticating animals was a planned thing? Like something along the lines of getting wild animals and breeding them for desired traits like being more docile, giving more milk, extra.

The water is probably not something that will work with some of our plans for this mod, sorry, and the Volcano idea sounds like it could be difficult for lower-end PCs. It might be something we could think about.
Domestication of wild animals is certainly something we plan for late in the game when farming becomes an option over hunting/gathering. Farming will be one of the last things you are able to do in the progression, and it will be at the same point that you can start settling in a single location rather than being a nomad. We're unsure how this system will work, but we have plenty of ideas.

I was trying to fit Heimskr's speech into this place, but it wouldn't fit.
Magic rituals would involve finding rare objects such as mammoth skulls, rare minerals, and possibly humans bones, and placing them in certain positions and doing certain things with them to either give yourself a potion effect, or possibly enchant an item.
Example:
Smash a Hyena skull on a Mammoth Skull for 1 minute of Strength. Uses both items.
There are other possible ways we could go about implementing Enchanting/Potions into the game, but this is our first idea.

Hello, I really like where this mod is going. I am an Minecraft modeler, and I have done some pretty awesome models in my opinion. If you are willing to perhaps extend this to an even bigger experience, with different ages I would love to work with you guys. I am only asking for different ages, because that's what I would love to see, and if I finally have found a team that want's the same, I am so on board.
If by ages, you mean going further back in time, to Dinosaurs or something, then it's probably not going to happen, but we do have plans for expansion beyond what we have planned now.

just a pet ideas of the ice age. (Prehistoric) ...Giant sloth | Megacerus | Elasmotherium | Paraceratherium | Mastodonte | Gliptodonte | Macrauquênia | Toxodonte | Megatério |
~Please magic makes no sense in this mod, do not add it.
♥
Most of those mobs you listed are American, which presently is not the focus of the mod. Paraceratherium lived a long time before the ice age, so there's no chance of it being added. The only mobs there that will be added are Elasmotherium and Megaloceros, as well as maybe a non-American Mastodon.
Magic rituals, if added, will be a minor part of the mod. We'd rather focus on making the main gameplay more interesting.
Since you said it wouldn't really be very compatible with other mods, are you thinking of adding any primitive (pre-bronze age) weaponry?
Obviously nothing with iron or smelting, but clubs or slings or other mods of the sort?
Another quick thing (which was probably already mentioned)
What about Hypothermia and wool/fur armor?
I'd love to have a dead wolf head as a hat
Actually half the mod will be pre-bronze age. At the very beginning of the game you'll only have a couple of different shaped rocks for tools, that can do a lot, but do those jobs very badly. Then throughout tool tiers you'll gain new types of tools as you unlock new materials to make them, such as Stone, Copper, Bronze, Iron, and Steel.
Armour isn't something that has really been discussed. Personally I don't think we'll go into metal armour, and we'll have tiers of Fur, Hide, and Leather. I do have some ideas for how to make armour interesting.

I could help code some stuff. Im not the best, but I am fairly decent. I can't exactly add in large mobs like the ones you have, but I can add in items, blocks, tools, ect and removed/add biomes from the game. I can also work with removing items from minecraft such as p otions.
As for different ages, we could start in the Stone Age, which is what this mod is doing now, then eventually advance to the bronze age, then further to the iron age, and any further than that would be decided by your mod team.

You should add spheres because ice age time period had spheres. And smilodon, terror bird, and cave bear. Thanks!
