Dawn of History (DoH, for short) is a mod is planned to be a mod for those who are starting to find Minecraft uninteresting, and want a fresh experience in the game when add-on mods and multiplayer just don't work any more. The first release will likely be for MC 1.9
Changing Minecraft's setting to roughly a 15,000 year old Eurasia, with Mammoths and Sabre-Toothed cats; and before civilization had begun, the mod is planned to largely modify mechanics of Minecraft as well as adding some new ones along the way, extending progression, and the average length of a play through of Survival mode by making tedious mechanics interesting.
This mod will be for people who:
Want a fresh experience from an old game
Like prehistoric Earth
Like Minecraft for the Survival This mod won't be for people who:
Like using lots of mods, as this mod will likely break things in most other mods
Like to build, as this mod will likely not be very compatible with building
Like technology mods, as the mod is set a long time before anything like that was invented.
What we want in this mod: Revamped features from Fishing to Mining
New Features such as Whaling and Temperature control
A variety of both extinct and modern animals from this time in Earth's history
A new model for Humans, that may have a config setting
A revamped overworld covered in Snow and Ice
Less/No magical features left accessible in the game (may change)
Tamable and Ridable creatures
Revamped versions of some vanilla mobs
At least 4 types of snow
Who we want for the mod:
Coders who can work in a team if needed (Important! We currently don't have any.)
Modellers who use Tabula (not Techne,) especially ones who can texture their own models
Animators who are up for animating the models in the mod
Texturers for Blocks/Items

You had me at the banner That Mammoth looks really good^^ So are you planning to change Minecraft in such a way like TerraFirmacraft (not saying that you're copying it, cuz frankly you're not). I do like the Survival bit in Minecraft and honestly, that ends too soon. As soon as you get a couple of pigs/cows/chickens and some crops, it's over =(
I think this is like Terrafirmacraft. All I know about that mod is it adds tons of new stone types. I agree with what you say about survival, the survival can get boring really quickly, especially after having played it for years.
I've been forming this idea since long before that game was announced. Quite a few of these ideas are back from early 2014. We're not planning to use that game as a base, but it's likely some features will unintentionally cross.

A tribe system has been a frequent subject of conversation within the team and a few other people, and we all want it. We just need to figure out a way that it could be implemented.

The current animals we're talking about adding are Eurasian animals. The time we take the animals from is generally a time called the Pleistocene, which went from 2.5 million to 12 thousand years ago (generally from the later portion of that time,) but human progression will end up slightly further than this, ending around 8,000 years ago, when the first civilizations were founded.
For a major part of the game, you will be a nomad, travelling from place to place, and using tents or caves for shelter. This is because any block you create isn't strong enough to be broken through by wild animals looking for food, or stampeding herds of animals that would crush your house. You're an early human, you don't have access to quarried stone and steel beams. If you kill off every animal, then you would also have to move on, as you've just killed every source of food you have (except fruit, but they don't last forever,) as farming is a late technology to discover. This means you have to move on from place to place. As a counter balance to this, the respawn system may be re-worked.
Towards the end of the game, you will find stronger materials, and farming becomes available to you. This is when you build your civilization and change your tribe into a town, or even a city.
Another note about tribes, is that it's likely some, if not all other tribes in the game will be hostile. Trading will be done within your own tribe. We're not sure how tribe members will be assigned roles, but it's something that we'd like to see.

have you played spore? in that game you start as animal then evolve into intelligent being by killing another species,i think you can use that method for progression,there are several tribe in kind of stage and you must climb that stage by conquering each stage of evolution example:in the early game theres only hunter tribe but have different kind of tools,after we defeat them we can craft said tool and so on..

I was actually just playing Spore yesterday (Space Amphibians ftw.) We probably won't do something exactly like this, because we want the mod to be based around more than the tribe system, although it's almost certain you'll be able to destroy other tribes, and possibly take over them. We aren't striving for 100% accuracy, because there's no fun in a completely realistic game.

you could add the weather in most mod for minecraft they do not think about by weather, for example, meteor storm snow / sand, this is just one example for you
