That's a shame, it doesn't look like this mod is going to be even close to being as popular as AdventureCraft was... Seems like mapmakers are satisfied with command blocks and armor stands.
Good luck with the development though

It's fine, I'm not working on the mod to make lots of money. Also, new (pretty big) update coming soon
Let's start this post with a bit of important info: I am not a god-damn helpdesk for that old-as-hell mod called AdventureCraft. If you need help, either use google or hope that someone on the #talecraft-channel is ok with helping you, because I am not. AdventureCraft has been dead for several years by now, so stop beating a dead horse for hells sake!
So... with that out of the way: The development of the TaleCraft-mod is currently frozen due to both maintainers (Aquizingtest and me) having absolutely no interest in playing Minecraft, much less modding Minecraft. In addition to that, modding Minecraft, even with Forge as API, is highly unpleasant and I have no idea how 17y/o-me ever managed to deal with this... insanity. Just to make it worse, I've made a lot of bad decisions while coding TaleCraft, and the mods architecture is thus nothing but lovecraftian (sheer and utter terror).
Due to the recent changes in the Minecraft 'engine' (MC 1.13), updating the mod which is still stuck at 1.11, has turned from a few-day-job, to a couple-of-weeks job, which is a giant PITA for which I just don't have the nerves.
Just to drive the point home a bit more: I absolutely do have enough time to update the mod to 1.13, but I seriosly don't want to ever do any modding-related things with Minecraft, ever again. Stop asking me. It won't happen. Unless Mojang adds a modding API...
Which brings me to the next point: If nobody takes over development, or does a full rewrite, this mod will kick the bucket on christmas this year (24.12.2018). Which means, in more concrete terms:
This topic will be locked.
The project will be archived.
The repository will be archived.
The subreddit will be locked.
No more updates, ever.
No more support, ever.
The only thing to stay is the #talecraft channel on my Discord-server.
So, here is a question: Is there still actual interest in this mod?
If so, who wants to take on the task of updating or rewriting it for Minecraft 1.13?
Anybody is free to do so. Ask for repository access and ya shall receive!
In much more positive news: With Minecraft 1.13, a great deal of things that TaleCraft did can now be done in vanilla Minecraft, due to the much updated command system and mcfunction-files. Of course, things like custom Blocks/Items/NPCs/GUIs continue to be stupidly hard (but not impossible!) to make, but that's just how it is, and that won't change unless MC undergoes another 1-year-long, 1.13-sized, total engine update.
Honestly? I should have just made TaleCraft a capable toolkit for map-makers, instead of a messy total-conversion mod...
Our lifes are limited and we should spend them being happy with ourselves, not being miserable and stressed out all the time by past mistakes.
So, as usual, and possibly for the last time here: Have a nice day/night and live the life you want!

Im a modder/programmer! I am on Twitter and YouTube, and some more I won't tell you about!
The Launcher is complete!
You can download it here, and it will download everything needed such as forge and libraries. All you need to do is choose a TC version and login.
Sorry for the long wait, expect more TaleCraft releases to come in the near future!
Check out my mod, TaleCraft!
where to register to come under the tclauncher
Yay!
Sorry for the long delay of talecraft updates. I got good and bad news.
Good news: There is a new talecraft update! You can get it here!
Bad news: You have to update talcraft now (Or just use the launcher since that automatically updates...)
Check out my mod, TaleCraft!
Yay!
Hope someone recreates Zelda Adventure!
Bone app the teeth.
If someone does, I'd be filled with gratitude.
Someone's already doing it, just not with this mod.
is it possible to backport the current version to 1.8?
I'll link you... The latest features will not be in it, though...
Here
thats why i was asking if it was possible to backport the latest version
You could, I guess. But that would be a lot of work. :/
Sorry, but I wont be downgrading any version. It is just too tedious and time consuming to do so.
Check out my mod, TaleCraft!
New year, new update! https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/talecraft/files/2364005

Glad this hasn't died.
