My vacation also ends overmorrow; so I might just work a bit on TaleCraft (not actually coding, just reviewing code).
I also started work on my own game now (the 'TC Project' is cancelled); It will take quite a while until I can show the first prototype/screenshots because the requirements for the game can not be fullfilled by any other existing game engine, so I have to write my own from scratch. If you (or anybody else) want to know more send me a private message over on reddit, since the project is closed from public and I rather not talk about it here.
Welp. Enough off topic, back to Minecraft!

This probably is a stupid question, but how do you deselect something with the wand?
I actually don't think this is possible. I havent looked too much but I think, at the moment, if you select something then it's selected until something else is selected.
I have been following the progress of talecraft for a while now and decided to make a custom map just to get used to all the features.
Now i've stumbled into a little problem.
I want to make it when you enter a room the doors will shut and a 'boss' will spawn. Now the problem I have is when the 'boss' dies the doors should reopen. I have been searching for a way to resolve this but nothing seems to work.
So now I would like to know if there is a way to do this in talecraft (just like there was in adventurecraft) or if someone knows of some kind of command/script to make this work.

One way you can do this is have the boss drop a key which will be used to open a locked door. I am planning on making something much easier in the near future.
I am really considering getting this mod for my modpack, my question is can events reset? As in if I have a player go through quests and then defeat the boss. Can another player do it and the boss will respawn? I am not sure if it'll work that way.
It depends. Most of the times no, but in some cases you will need to do a reset with scripts or command blocks. Resets are usually needed when something in the world changes such as blocks or entities. Note that the memory block can be used to store a region permanently and can place down whatever is stored when triggered
Ok. I think this mod is AMAZING and that it is epic that Adventurecraft's features could be updated to Forge, so that it could be used with other mods, for those who can't script. How different is scripting with this mod than scripting with the original AC?

Thanks! I never scripted in the AC, but talecraft uses JavaScript. If you go onto the github wiki you can find an incomplete ( as of now ) list of all methods to assist you in scripting
Hey, quick question, would you want someone to co-develop to make the mos completely standalone like the classic AdventureCraft? I can make a launcher and everything.

It would probably be best to use Forge, because if you used a standalone launcher, it would be harder to update to a newer version of Minecraft.
The reason why there hasn't been a TC update as often right now, is because a launcher is being made. TaleCraft will always use forge because it would be stupid not to.
So sorry in advence if my question already has an answer, I didn't feel like reading all the 81 pages of the old post and the 5 pages of this one.
My question is: Can I play a map that was made for AdventureCraft, so for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 ??
I always wanted to play it, and I was really sad when I discovered that AdventureCraft was dead. But I saw TaleCraft was almost the same, but for current versions of Minecraft.

I tried to do so, but it didn't work out; converting all the blocks and entities is simply impossible to do within Minecraft.
The only way to convert AC maps would be to write a external tool that takes maps from the old save-format and convert them into the new save-format, while also making sure to transform all of Minecrafts AND AdventureCrafts blocks/entities/items correctly.
Writing such a program takes an awful lot of time, which neither me or aqizingtest have. I'm working on other projects (and soon a 6 week internship) while aqizingtest has to juggle working on TaleCraft (+Launcher) and going to school (+homework).
So yeah, sorry; not going to happen any time soon.

There is the error log talking about a client GUI. Is Talecraft not SMP?

The custom launcher is nearly complete! But aqizingtest/tiffit is back in school, so it will take some time until its released...
