The Boss is away for a few days, and I got an announcement to make.
The new dimension, is called The Underworld. Current possible plans of way to enter the dimension are:
-Build a portal (Too boring, bruh)
-Find a portal, since it's un-build-able (Too inconvenient, bruh)
-Drink a Potion that fakes your death (Sounds cool, but technically hard)
-Build a portal, but requires a rare item to activate it (A bit boring I might say, and a bit waste of time trying to obtain the materials)
Since it's literally just the nether but, err, "evil-er", you should be able to find the portal in the nether, then you get the rare item from another dimension to activate it.
This mod looks awesome. I cant wait till it comes out. When it comes out I would like to use this mod in a modded survival series and do some mod review.
Since it's literally just the nether but, err, "evil-er", you should be able to find the portal in the nether, then you get the rare item from another dimension to activate it.
That contradicts with the backstory of the dimension. The Underworld is only accessible from the Overworld.

So, within the next couple of weeks, expect some screenshots to appear on the thread, and expect a couple of spoilers from myself and Black_Saturn! Super close to closed Alpha!
Seems cool. Anyways I hope you make the progression balanced. Maybe something based on AoA.
There is no aim for an endgame right now. I want to make everything balanced, and this mod is actually based off of AoA, but it has a lot more content in the Overworld. I dunno about the nether, but that'll probably come at a later time.
Also, I probably should've mentioned the contest here...
Dungeon Contest!
Beta development is nearly underway, and we could not be more excited to prepare for the closed beta testing! You want to test, you say? Well, all you have to do is enter a contest. The AA development team is asking for a cool new idea for a dungeon, with its own mobs and boss. The person with the best dungeon suggestion (in our opinions) will win. The winning dungeon will be added into the mod in v1.0!
Oooh! A dungeon contest?!? Let me shoot you a few ideas...
The impossible object!
This dungeon would appear rather old. As you progress deeper into the dungeon, things would start to get... Weird. Any mob within the dungeon would get the missing texture as a texture. (The pink and black thing.) This does not include the player. Traps would litter the corridors and some would spring just because you were near them. These traps would be simple. Not always powered by red stone, but they are always somehow avoidable. As you got closer to the end of the dungeon, some BLOCKS experience the missing texture "glitch".
As you reach the end of the dungeons first section, you would find a room that would appear to be rather untouched by the "glitchy-ness" In the center there is a pedestal. Shaped like a rectangle. If you right click it, it starts to glow, then beams of light start flying away from it.
Eventually, a loud noise like static starts playing, and when it ends, the screen goes white. Then an explosion sound plays. (Normal explosion noise. Like from in game TNT.) When the white fades, and a portal has appeared. It appears to be the center of glitchy-ness.
When you jump in, the screen fades to pixel colored static. (Dimension loading up)
The pixels continue to static around for a time, then slowly vanish. When your vision clears, your in an blank room. (Think dimensional doors pocket dimension, but you can't break/place blocks.) When you take a step forward, the letter W appears on the ground. The letters appear like footsteps, and the letter changes depending on where your moving. (When you press a key that doesn't effect movement, it jumps up from the ground and vanishes.) After around 10 seconds of existing, the letters pixel out of existence. Soon, a sound like something spinning plays. (If the player looks up at this point, the can see that there appears to be a "strange symbol" in the sky. Pi.)
Slowly, blocks start appearing back next to the portal. (Player/players is/are teleported back.) They appear to be forming a staircase. Of white and grey blocks. Some have other colors, and the "glitchy pixel" effect from before, but are still quite use able. The staircase moves up in circle for 20 meters, and bring you to a previously invisible platform. (The bottom was pitch black, so you couldn't see it.) On the top, is another pedestal. But this time, an amulet with the Pi symbol is sitting on it. When taken from the pedestal, the stairway back down pixels away, and the platform starts to crumble. Random blocks start appearing everywhere.(See the picture I have in the attachments. Another stairway, (This time more like a parcour course,) appears, and you must jump up until get get to a floating portal. This floating portal brings you back to the original portal. (The one in the overworld.) The portal begins to pixel away, and you must get out before the pixelation effect gets to you. Or your inventory will be wiped, and you will die after getting the nausea effect, and pixel out. Once you escape, the "pixely doom" stops at the exit. If you still have the PI medal, and throw it on a glowstone block, The PI symbol appears in a 3x3 square. It spins rapidly, and shrinks down to one block, At this point its spinning so fast, it appears to be a circle. The circle then rises out of the ground as a sphere. The sphere has 300 health, and circles around the player in the air.
Sometimes, it fires smaller spheres at you. When they hit, they do very little damage, but this damage is applied regardless of armor. They slow you down, making it easier for the next sphere projectile to hit you. The large sphere, sometimes flies down and hits the player, knocking him/her back. That is when you can do melee attacks to it. Rarely, if its health has a 3 in it, it will fire several lightning balls at the player, and fire a lightning bolt at the player. These lightning balls set fire to what ever they touch, and roam around in slowly expanding circles, until they shrink into nothing.
When you get it to 0 health, it splits in two, then they split in two, then they split in two, and then they all flow back into one big sphere. The big sphere at this point can either be killed, sending showers of XP raining from the sky, (glitches the area for 2 minutes, meaning there aren't any block updates, and things have the pixely effect.) OR you can just throw a snowball at it. Throwing the snowball makes it rise up 15 blocks into the air, hover there for 15 seconds, and slowly pixel out. After it goes away, the medal falls from the sky, along with a tiny sphere. This tiny sphere functions somewhat like a chicken, only it "lays" a random block/item in 1/6th the time it takes for a chicken to lay an egg. The tiny sphere will follow whoever right clicked it last. If a player tries to right click a "tamed" sphere, they will get the nausea effect, and loose half a heart. Or nothing at all if they have half a heart left. The tamed sphere grows over time, into a sphere a block wide. From here, it can only get bigger from commands. The medal is a symbol of defeating the dungeon, and the sphere that lays every item is your reward. It doesn't really attack players unless they try to tame it. If the player who owns it right clicks it, it freezes on the spot. (Like a wolf sitting)
I think this idea MIIIIIIIiiiiiiiIIIiiiiiiiiiiIIIiight be over kill. A little. A little... A lot... But it was the first thing that came to mind. Hope you enjoyed the little "short story" I wrote about it! ^.^

What does FNAF world have to do with it? I've had this idea in my head for years...
Does FNAF world have something like that in it?
Truthfully, I don't own any Five Nights At Freddys games, so I wouldn't know.
EDIT: Also, the picture is from a game called FEZ.

Well, the plot of FNAF World game is find a glitch so you can enter a glitch world to get to another place and then find another glitch so you can enter a glitch world and so on until you find the cause of the glitch and defeat it. Kind of.
Anyway, we are not expecting any suggestion that involves new dimension as we already have our hands tied on two dimensions (The Underworld and another one not revealed yet).
Best if you can give us ideas that only revolves around a structure (or multiple), with mobs unique to it.

How long is the design a dungeon contest going to last? I need at least until mid-May because my dungeon has a lot of thought being put into it and it is very much incomplete.
Phew. Is it okay if my dungeon has multiple bosses in it? Also, the mobs and bosses might have a bit high health because this would be an endgame dungeon.
Sure, I guess. If we need to nerf their health and/or damage a bit, we can.
