I intend it to be open source as that way the community can benefit from it. Although the source code will be kept on github as its easier to manage. If someone suggests an improvement on the code or a new feature or something like that, it makes it easier to check whether there are any suggestions that implement the method or something.
It is for Minecraft 1.8 at the moment and tbh, thats the main reason i intend to make it opensource. It means that i dont have to get stressed about updates and i wouldnt have even been able to do the mod without the help of an amazing modder: Bedrock Miner
Here is a link to his modding tutorials. I find they're much easier to understand than other tutorials out there.
The mod isn't ready for the public just yet as i haven't finished the coding but very soon, there will be a link of awesomeness to mediafire for you to download and test and stuff. to start of with, it will just show when a block is giving out a redstone signal. But soon, with the help of the community, there will be plenty of features and even external mod support.
Here's the spoiler for when it is ready for the public
Remember, great stuff is never without a cost so if you like Bedrock Miner's mods and tutorials, please consider supporting him by donating. I have no need for donations. I live with my parents at the moment and have no need for money yet. If you like the idea of easy redstone, donate to Bedrock Miner. He's the brains behind it all.
I should get back to the mod. If you like the idea of the mod, make this post popular so more people can see it as they won't have to trawl around the forum. Just so you know, i will only ever be doing modding for the java minecraft. I will never go to windows 10 as it doesnt suit me. mainly because you have to get stuff from the windows store. So don't get rid of your pre-Windows 10 OS as you may not be able to use my mod.
