MMMMMM IZZ ZO GREAT! i love dis mod XD Srry, i just am so greatful for this mod to exist. Its so COOL!
THIS COMMENT PERTAINS TO A SPECIFIC SUGGESTION!
I DO NOT INTEND TO FORCE THE MODDER TO ADD THIS
INTO THE MODIFICATION!
Btw, Is this mod going to be used to actually transport electricity via the power lines, or is it just for deco? Because if its for electricity, then you should add a transformer that turns a signal being transported via the power lines, to a redstone signal. This will add a bit more practicality to the mod. Not saying you NEED to, but im just suggesting it because people will download it more since it helps with making decorative power plants, and making them useful.
hi guys, I do not understand, the mod that add the road signs;traffic lights, road markers, barriers, construction signs, cones, barricades, etc, is the same mod that add poles, transformers and other things that have to do with electricity??
because from what I understood it's all in the same mod, that is for 1.10 right?
I'm sorry that this fantastic mod is only for 1.10, because I'd really like to include it, if possible, in my modpack;in case they are two or more separate mods, are all only for the 1.10 or they are also for the 1.7.10 ?? if they were, where could I download them?
Wow, four years since I tried to redo this mod. It's sure been a while. I hope some of you still might be interested- I've got something big I'm working on. Recently I stumbled across FexCraft, which is a add-on style vehicle and industrial mod. Just recently, I learned that you can actually add blocks with 16 point rotation and custom models with little to no code, which caught my attention. I had already begun modelling some vehicles for the mod, and I figured I'd do some power lines because, hey, why not? His modelling program is much faster to use than Techne, so I'm excited to announce I'm working on creating a content pack with a variety of power lines. I currently have 55 complete models ready to go. That's from a week's work. 55. That doesn't include everything I've modeled in my "base model,"- it has over 4000 polygons currently, which amounts to another 30-40 models ready to be finished up. At least. I'm gonna be creating a new thread, and hopefully adding a nice long post describing the placing mechanisms.
Now I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but:
This many not happen, you need to understand that, but Fex and I have briefly talked about adding electricity to his mod. If it was implemented, I would update my models and conductors, generators, machines, etc would all be part of a functioning electrical system. This is a huge maybe- way down the road- but it's a slight possibility. Don't pressure Fex on this, and don't get excited about it.
And of course I added some screenshots of a couple model combinations. These WILL NOT have wires, and don't expect them to anytime soon. They are purely decorational.
These models are designed to stack on each other, with the base block being the "base structure," consisting of insulators and hardware. Second is equipment (transformers, switches, arresters, etc), and third is reserved for lateral (tap) circuits. Fourth is for overbuild transmission (see image no. 1).
Currently I have very single base structure for distribution modeled and textured. Portions of transmission could be finished in the next day or two, possibly today. Substations have yet to be modeled but I know how I'm doing them.
So yeah. Fun. Hopefully will show you some more updates over the next week!
Dude! Welcome back! I've been hoping you would! Great progress! do you take suggestions for designs of poles? I've been looking to replicate DTE Energy in Michigan. Also, are the cross arms separate from the poles? And finally, What version of MineCraft is this for?
PS, forgot to change my name on here as I type this, so be warned if you reply.
First off, I am aware of the link, I'll try and get an updated download link elsewhere tonight. Curseforge decided my description was "hard to understand" due to a glitch with their website, so I'm waiting on it to post.
Second off, I do take suggestions, so send away, and yes crossarms are separate. Standard crossarms get placed facing the pole, but on the right side (it'll make more sense when you try it out). Version is 1.12.2, and it's an FVTM plugin. I'll try and add a more detailed description here in a little bit.
Making a post just here on the forum would work just fine. Just make sure to add some pics, a link to the area the company operates in, and a bit of a description on what you'd like to see. Every power company has a lot of different hardware, so making everything from a single company would be a bit, er, difficult.
