Checking in .... development on GC for 1.10.2 + is going ... slow but still going.
So skipping 1.8 entirely?

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!
Wow, I was not expecting to see development pick up on this again. I might have to modify some of my plans for Rustic to accommodate for that at some point. Congrats on the alpha release!
Edit: I suggest focusing your efforts on 1.12.1. Lately, I've noticed Rustic getting way more downloads on 1.12 as opposed to 1.11, so it seems like people have been moving past 1.11 already.
@mangoose, thanks, we'll look into it. At first we started with 1.12 and then decided to take a step back to 1.11.2 as changes were happening to 1.12 in the middle of trying to port 1.7.10 to a current version.

please stick with or finish 1.11 as most mods have not updated to 1.12 and i know some like myself will wait until a most of the good mods have updated also 1.13 is not far off so if you rush to 1.12 you may have to update to 1.13 right after

I agree, not sure if Forge 1.12 has really stabilized yet.

1.12 is fine but a large number of mods people like have not updated to 1.12 and it just updated to 1.12.2 and they have already started work on 1.13 so as along as it takes to program and update and bug fix its kind of better for most people if they just stick to 1.11 for now until they know that 1.12 is done updating and 1.13 is not coming soon. they have already started updating to 1.11 so you are trying to make them do more work just because you a ready. I asked them to wait and see and maybe finish 1.11 before moving on.

I didn't say they shouldn't finish 1.11, I just meant it would be a shame to skip 1.12, and I also didn't mean that I couldn't wait for a 1.12 release, just that I am really looking forward to one.
There is still a lot of work to be done. Before reporting the something is missing, we know that it is missing, this is an Alpha release and before we start implementing new features, GC 3.x needs to have everything the 2.x had. So wait until the release of 3.1 before submitting for new features.
Sad that you skipped over 1.10.2. I am moving from 1.7.10 to 1.10.2 and was hoping to have this included in my pack. Can't move to 1.11.2 because some larger mods that I'm using haven't made that jump yet. Blah.

By the time that we finish 1.11.2 I expect other major mods to have updated. We'll also be looking at back-porting to 1.10 as well once we have the 1.11.2 released.
Nevermind, I was using this mod with other mods and a few other mods didn't want to work with growthcraft but thanks anyway :).

yes, due to the market research we are skipping 1.8 and 1.9 entirely.
If you are interested in alpha testing ... Growthcraft 1.11.2 Fishtrap is ready.

Still looking into the CapabilityLayer.
Question for the community ...
How often do you want an alpha release posted to Curse?

Have to say, for me and my friends, 1.12 seems really fine and I really miss growthcraft, since we made a big jump from 1.7.10 to 1.12 now ^^*
