the crowbar keeps all the fermentation barrels contents which is cool, can you see if its possible to allow the BC wrench or RC crowbar to have this little feature as well. i already have to carry around a chest sized backpack full of tools as is.
also there is def something up with the new fishtrap. im only getting junk and usually its stacked, even unstackable items like books and bows and if i right click items out of the trap it duplicates them
will this update to 1.10 or whatever people are working on these days?
Im doing a mod for 1.10 right now and I'll tell you 1.7.10- is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than 1.8+
Where in 1.7.10 and previous mods were like 90% coding and 10% sprites now they are about 60% coding and 40% creating a modpack with json models sprites blockstates etc. Is actually much more fun to code for 1.10 than for 1.7.10. Forge simplified things so much now.
To update a mod for newer version of MC is a pain in the butt and is very unlikely you will see a 1.8 even anytime soon.
Oo, hope the 1.10 comes out soon, my friends and I are trying to find a mod for alcohol for our server!
I'm making something like that right now but is a WIP. Is kinda of a baby Growthcraft but with other alcohol and features so you can use both when they update it
You can add your own groups and weights and then edit the fishtrap entries to add or remove items
lunchboxxx19 Buildcraft Wrenches should work just the same, after all our crowbar is a copy of the BC Wrench, anything that uses the IToolWrench interface should work in Growthcraft

Currently revisiting the Growthcraft Wikia. I had worked on this page prior of my first born. Now that he not much of an handful I can update the page once again during my free time now that we also have new content to the pack. Feel free to visit and help build the wikia up.
We now have the Repo for 1.10 .... it is in the works
Excellent news, guys. So many of my core mods have updated that I really can't justify staying with 1.7.10 anymore and Growthcraft is the only 'farmables' mod that I've ever liked; it's gorgeous, intuitive and not completely bloated. Really happy that you guys picked this up when Gwafu lost interest and that it's not dead yet. Now if only Cogs in the Machine and Twilight Forest would show signs of life, my personal modpack could be complete again ^_^.
I agree. I love this mod for farming. Just a small amount of crops, some drinks and no potion messing around. Easy to use blocks and a lot of fun. Besides Minefactory Reloaded that I use for farming at times. This mod needs to continue however possible. I moved to 1.8.9, 1.9, 1.9.4, then 1.10, and now 1.10.2 and its still not the same after so many mainstream or less known mods (I got sick of mainstream and wanted something different as I had less ideas for them and got bored after a while so new authors, teams, ideas and more for me).
I also agree with Cogs too. I love it as a mod that uses cogs and steam. Yes its for tools in the end, but I find it satisfying none the less.
Just the wait though and with the previous posts about how the mod is going, the wait continues. But if its coming to 1.10 hell yes please. I've been needing a good farming mod for 1.10 that isn't forestry, biomes o' plenty, mystical agriculture and some others. Just too many magic or ore processing or fancy tech or utilities. I love these. But I like farming too as a different direction to take after so much ore processing mods as my main source of mods.
And as someone who has played lots of smaller mods that add machines and new ideas. I think I need a lot more farming than just actually additions which I am using at the moment or progressive automation which I am a bit sick of. For farming automation. But planttech is a good mod for something different if anyone is interested in another tech/farming/plant themed mod.
Either way, devs keep it going as long as you wish. And however you can.
This truly is awesome news, Alatyami! Please take your time and don´t try to rush. Would be a shame if this leads to a loss of motivation. We can wait for a mod project as great as this.
*thumbs up*
Thanks. The "is it ready yet" has actually helped keep it on the RADAR as real life has been getting the way.
I ran into an issue and it's kind of annoying, the recipe for the fermentation barrel isn't working, Everithing else work properly and i can even get the barrels from creative... please help

It will happen, but we do not have any timeframe.

coloso666 In your growthcraft config directory, look at growthcraft/fishtrap/catch_groups.json
What you're going to do, is remove the "mineral" section,
You can add your own groups and weights and then edit the fishtrap entries to add or remove items

hey guys just thought id let you know progressive automation will farm hops and apple trees but only the first layer above the machine
it also farms rice with no hassles but wont farm grapes due to them needing to be at least 2 blocks from the ground

What's the progress here on this mod? Has it been abandoned?
We're still here. Development for 1.10.2 hasn't been a quick port.

Are you using Growthcraft 2.7.2?
Hoping to have a alpha of GC for 1.10.2 released within two weeks.
