For some reason that video makes me think of Half-life, maybe its the way the beams look/sound. Still I can't wait for this mod to be complete as it seems like a very inventive power generation method.

Basic summary: This actually aims to provide power generation through all levels. Essentially you can start out with getting low amounts of power from impure crystals, and slightly more power if your willing to pollute the area with harmful effects. However as you progress you can create purer crystals that can give you larger amounts of power with lower amounts of pollution.

It is actually early, middle and late game :-)
In early game you will pretty quickly be able to make a generator and use that to generate power from naturally spawned crystals. These are not pure and don't generate a lot of power but it is a good start. On average a naturally found crystal can generate 38 RF/tick for about 350000 RF total. Maximum naturally found crystal is 104 RF/tick for about 1560000 total.
To go beyond that you will need to go into the ore/fluid processing. But even there you have different options. You can just make a basic smelter and make low quality liquid. With these you will have better power then what the natural crystals give you but it will pollute more.
To go beyond this step you can purify the liquid and add various enhancements. This will require multiple steps and machines.
The final step is to overcharge your crystals. This way you can get a TON of power but you'll need heavy shielding around the generator.

Given what I've seen RF mods do? No clue.
The goal is to fit into a modpack that has RotaryCraft, will probably get ElectricCraft (just because it was designed to move shaft power around), has mystcraft (with added base level instability, expect any age with ores to show at least a potion's effect), and will have RfTools (so you can get stable ages with enough power).
Now, "enough power" was either going to be "sufficiently advanced in RoC", or those ender-pearl generators I get at the same time as the power-consuming dimensions.
So, the questions become, how do I keep RoC as the primary powergen system? If these crystals only show up in an RfDim, that's one way; if they can't generate enough power to power an RfDim, that's another way.
Of course, as that picture remind me, all RF systems have built-in lossless batteries that overshadow their production rates ...
EDIT: Hmm, is that about 500 seconds (give or take) of production buffer? More than 8 minutes, or more than a full "night" cycle (7.5 min), almost a full "day" cycle (10 min)?

These powergens will be able to generate sufficient power for big RFTools dimensions but not easily.
Having these crystals only appear in RFTools dimensions is something that I could do.

The first usable release of Deep Resonance. In this version the powergen works but you can only use naturally spawned crystals since it is not yet possible to make your own crystals. So do not expect a lot of power with this right now (about 104 RF/tick maximum with a naturally spawned crystal).
Warning: all powergen, radiation, and explosion strength values in this version of Deep Resonance are not guaranteed to remain as they are now. This is still work in progress and things may be rebalanced in various directions.
Note that if you had crystals of DR 0.1.0 then these will be upgraded because I made the power level too small. This is done automatically for all crystals that are on the ground. If you have a mined crystal in a chest then putting it down will upgrade it.
Crystals explode (violently) when another explosion triggers near them. This depends on the strength and power of a crystal. Naturally spawned crystals are not as bad.
Exploding crystals as well as generating power from dirty crystals (which includes the naturally spawned crystals) will generate radiation. This radiation will cause various bad effects like hunger, poison and so on. The radiation of natural crystals is limited in radius and strength. There are no ways yet to counter this radiation. Turning off a generator will slowly remove the radiation (can take a while).
Implemented a radiation meter. This is capped to radiation of strength 200000 which you will normally never encounter with the crystals you can get right now.
Implemented the generator multiblock. This multiblock needs one or more generators, one energy collector (only one will work correctly, in the future it will be made sure that you can only use one), and one generator controller to turn the generator on (with redstone). A generator block can handle up to two crystals as well as up to 10000RF/tick. For more crystals you need more generators.
Internally Elec332 did a lot of work on the fluid system and the smelter. Since this is not ready yet these blocks have not been enabled. That's for a future release.
'nanakisan' contributed a better looking crystal model.

So, looking at that radiation display: It's hard to tell the strength of the radiation, for two reasons:
1. The decimal numbers at the end. I cannot rely on the length of the numbers to tell me how nasty it is.
2. The numbers are not aligned (you do not put extra spaces at the beginning of low radiation numbers).
Looks good, interesting, and power with a cost. Nice.
