This mod will bring an RPG style of gameplay to the world of
Minecraft. It will give players a feel for progression and building a
character up from nothing. My goal is to create a mod that will work for
single player, but make multiplayer a much richer experience.
This game is not going to be set of predefined set of classes.
Players will be able to choose their own path in the world. As you would
in real life practice makes perfect, and to learn a new skill you have
to practice. You will have a chance to use a skill simply by trying it.
Even if you fail using a skill, you will skill have a chance to gain
that skill. To Keep the player on his chosen path a player can simply
lock the skills he doesn't want to learn. The player must do this in
case he has a max amount of skill points he can use. The player can also
begin to forget a skill to free up points, Forgetting skills takes
time. The more skills you learn the harder it is for you to learn new
skills, So choose wisely.
Players stats will increase based on the skill your using, each skill has a Primary Stat and Secondary Stat
as a player uses a skill they have a 1/20 chance to gain a stat, with a 75% chance it goes to
primary and 25% it goes to secondary. Stats increase modifiers to some skills including increasing damage
and to hit chance. Stats in the future will be even more important. Skills are the main focus atm.
This mod is still in alpha development, and will be very buggy at times, wont work with other mods, and can change on a whim.

Crafting will depend on skill levels.
Combat damage increases with combat tactics, hit chance depends on skill vs mob defense
Features / Planned Features
Skill progression
Stat system
New combat system
Updated Crafting system, while keeping old
Solo/Addon's that will expand skill system, weapon, spells, & alchemy
Screenshots please? This looks cool if paired with Advent of Ascension or whatever you call the mod these days.

If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
Crafting is looking good so far. So are the indicators in chat
Thank you... next couple of days will push new update with Carpentry/Masonry skills, and Tinkering skills that will contain most redstone items, jukebox, and other various items. Its all slowly coming together.

Pushed a new little update,I am to the point I was dreading, which is modifying the brewing and enchanting system to work on a skill system. I will try to push updates weekly, I do have a job and a kid, so my time is limited to weekends.

New update now has Enchanting Skill... Some tweaking is still needed, but I now have control over it. Next will be alchemy skill. and tweaking each skill. I have most vanilla game play switched over use the new skill system. Also if you have any suggestions, I'd like to hear them. and After the Alchemy skill is done, I will start to work on a better / more permanent GUI system.

this looks interesting, i might use that because there aren't any good mods for 1.8
That's kinda why I started this in 1.8.. and I will back port later to 1.7.10 since a lot of mods are still for 1.7.10. I still have a lot of work till than though.

Can't wait man, and I agree, there aren't many great mods out for 1.8 yet so I can see this getting a lot of attention
