Dimensional Travel is a mod that adds new dimensions, revamps current ones, reworks portals, and adds support for other dimension mods such as Aether II or Twilight Forest. Every dimension has it's own means of survival, multiple bosses, ecosystems, and tons of lore to find with a survival guide for every one (Based off Book of Lore from Aether).
Portals must now be created with special runes found in dungeons, temples, and other special means. Every portal needs base blocks, runes, and activation. Every portal may have different shapes, and different mechanics, with very different means of activation. I'm not 100% sure how runes with work, but as this is a WIP mod, this will be figured out shortly.
A seemingly empty desert wasteland with little life and only one type of plant, the only source of water. But that's only at first glance, under the surface are a wide variety of ores, animals, and at the bottom a huge subterranean ocean with loads of different plants and animals. On the surface the few animals that have survived can't survive off just the plant fibers on the water bulbs, so herbivores are out of the question, but heliovores can survive. These are creatures that have developed plates on their back that absorb sunlight and transfer it to food, just like a plant.
A giant heliovore with 4 stumped legs and 2 large sets of plates on its back which it uses to absorb sunlight. It has two tusks on it's side for fending off predators and a light brown tint for blending in from sight at a distance. It drops it's plates for use in making plate armor.
These are small lizard like creatures with large clubs on their tail and small spikes on it's back for fending off predators. It eats Rock Grub and breaks down rocks and metals with its club for nutrients.
These small rock creatures have two scythe like legs for climbing along the sand in search for water bulbs. Because of it's small size, it is the only creature that can survive off the plant itself. It can retract it's legs for hiding among other rocks.
Large bat like creatures with 2 sets of wings and a set of sharp spines along its back. It has thin sheets of metal on its wings that it uses to reflect sunlight off of to alert other seekers. It travels in packs of around 2-3 and can be extremely dangerous if you are alone. They have razor sharp teeth that can rip through Terralithe plates.
Huge worms that burrow through the sand and sense vibrations through the sand with bulbs sticking out of their heads. They attack by leaping out of the sand and landing on their victims headfirst, even drilling holes into bigger creatures with their 5 sets of drill-like teeth. Sometimes they stick their heads out of the sand to feel air vibrations for Desert Seekers, which they can swallow whole.
Bonestalkers are insect creatures made of bone material and a large exoskeleton. They hunt in packs and bring down their prey, which they transform into energy for their queen, The Necromancer. They walk on legs that appear to be inverted and are all created by their queen, which shares minds with them.
These are small gold colored insects with razor sharp claws and no mouth, no eyes, and a large red gem on their back. They can consume creatures, including the bone, in just 15 seconds, and then retreat into their expansive underground networks. They attack in giant swarms from mounds in the ground whenever something gets near.
An orange metal that is so hot, holding it as an ingot sets you on fire. The only way to smelt the ore is to use a Phoenix Crucible, built with a phoenix essence and some other undecided materials. Tools instantly smelt anything they mine, and weapons and armor set things on fire, with armor acting like thorns.
A yellow-orange ore that falls in clusters from meteors and can be used in crafting equinox ingots to make equinox tools and armor.
A blue-white ore that falls in clusters from meteors and can be used in crafting equinox ingots to make equinox tools and armor.
A large flaming bird-like creature that shoots flames and feeds off lava and the cooked corpses of it's prey. It's found atop large lava geysers and can even swim through the lava networks that appear underground.
The giant Bonestalker queen which lives in an enormous hive system. It creates and controls all Bonestalkers and makes them fetch food for her. It has two sets of scythes and two spider like limbs that allow it to crawl at any angle by working with its scythes.
