JAPTA is a mod that adds some cool things for the Redstone Flux power system, including the Life Converter and the Battery Potato!
I recommend getting another mod like Thermal Expansion to go along with it, as it doesn't add everything you might need.
I'd like some feedback on it, is anything imbalanced or bugged? Suggestions for new features are welcome as well!
The RNG Quarry will mine blocks in a chunk-sized area below it using the supplied tool (provided it has RF to run).
Simply right-click it to give it a tool. If it has one already, that will be dropped.
The tool's durability will go down for every block not mineable by a wooden tool.
Any items mined will be placed in nearby inventories (like chests) or simply spewed.
The Life Converter has two purposes, but it can only do one at a time. Right-click it to switch between them.
In Absorb mode, RF is generated whenever a creature takes damage on top of it.
In Heal mode, RF is used to heal creatures and players above or below it.
The Mechanical Generator generates RF from block updates. This is more useful when used with a redstone clock.
The Endergy Cell teleports your energy 10 RF at a time. It's slow, but it works.
Right-click to assign a frequency using your held item.
The Charging Plate is a pressure plate only activated by players, and charges their items if supplied with RF. The Wooden variation is activated by anything, and can charge items dropped on it.
The elevator is actually two blocks, the Elevator Shaft and the Elevator Top. Place the Elevator Top on top of the Elevator Shaft(s) and supply the top with RF, then jump from the bottom to go up or sneak on top to go down.
The Time Machine lets you use your RF to speed up time! It only applies to time of day, and doesn't affect plants, furnaces, etc. Apply a redstone signal to pause it, quite useful with a Daylight Sensor.
The Chest Charger will charge items in inventories placed next to it with RF.
The Cake Converter converts between Cake and RF. Right-clicking will change its mode between Deploy (RF->Cake) and Absorb (Cake->RF). It has a range of 4 blocks in each direction for cake absorption but only 1 up and down for cake placement.
The Flux Blaster provides power to all blocks up to 8 blocks in front of it. When placing it, it faces away from you. If it finds an Elevator Shaft, it will power the block above it (probably an Elevator Top).
The Flux Hopper is a hopper that transfers RF instead of items.
The Bonemeal Applicator, when given power and placed next to an inventory containing Bone Meal, will use the Bone Meal on plants in an 8x8x8 cuboid around it. Its decisions of where to apply it are similar to the RNG Quarry.
The Mover will teleport entities on top of it in the direction it is facing. It is most useful in long chains. It also provides power to the block in front of it, so you might only need to power the back of the chain.
Similar to the Flux Blaster, provides transfers items to 8 blocks in front of it.
The Battery Potato is an item that lets you eat RF in the form of a delicious potato.
Can be charged by the Charging Plate or any other block that charges items.
The RF Meter can be used on a block to read its RF content.
I'll be the one to say it.... No pics No clicks. Please add more description, more info on whats in it, what you want to add latter, ext...
It is impossible to really get solid feedback if your threads OP is basically empty.
Wow... I can see several uses for that there life converter and Mechanical Generator! These could be very cool in complex temple puzzles...
gonna download and check it out. More after i mess around with it in my test world.
But for you! love it a mod with 5 posts! and it includes some unique and useful new things....
The life converter sounds so useful dude. And the mechanical generator almost sounds OP if used properly. The quarry seems inferior to the openblocks quarry but be darned if it doesnt make more sense. I like it. I think Ill add it to my mod pack.
Exactly how is a elevator constructed properly?
are their limits to how the top must be powered? you cannot directly place a switch on the shaft so do we power the block beside it? or one up or down?
Looking like a cool collection you are building up here. nice work, more info please. its hard to use test and comment if we do not know how to use them.
I still cannot seem to get the elevator to work i tried to wire it with redstone also tried just to put a redstone block beside the top block.
i left 2 open blocks at the bottom, try to jump up into them and nothing happens... both creative mode and survival....
I think im doing something wrong, or i have a mod conflict.... i do not have TE or any tech mods, buildcraft or such.... could that be it?
Not redstone, RF. The only sources with this mod are Mechanical Generator and Life Converter. As mentioned in the OP, you probably want another mod with better generating blocks.
Great! Really great work! The elevator is a great addition! Very excited about JAPTA's future. Now officially in my Minecraft. I needed a no nonsense elevator!
ehhh...alsmost everything here is already integrated in some other mod. The Quarry is added by Buildcraft and you're able to power it with RF, too. Energy cells and potato batterie are added by Thermal Expansion or Thermal Dynamics, idk at the moment. The machinical generator is pretty similar to one generator from Rotarycraft (but this one produces RF, which is a difference). Live Converter and Time Machine seem kind of incredibly overpowered.
Have you read the descriptions? The Battery Potato isn't really a storage of RF, since its only use is food. If you have a suggestion for how to nerf things, I'd be happy to hear it.

Yes, there are recipes, though as I mentioned, they might need balancing.

I've now released a beta with some awesome new blocks.

New version has been released, fixed an important Endergy Cell bug, and promoted to stable.
v0.5.3 is out, with the Time Machine and the Chest Charger.
Have you read the descriptions? The Battery Potato isn't really a storage of RF, since its only use is food. If you have a suggestion for how to nerf things, I'd be happy to hear it.
You mean a server to test it on? I already do that.
Version v0.6.0 has been released, including the Wooden Charging Plate and the RF Meter.
The RF API has also been updated, which should fix any issues with RF output.
In addition, a config file has been added, allowing disabling of any crafting recipe or the version checker.
v0.7.2 is out! The Flux Blaster, Mover, Cake Converter, and Bonemeal Applicator are here!
Oops, had to release v0.7.3 to fix the recipe for the Cake Converter. I'm still not sure what happened, but it no longer requires fire to craft.
It required fire to craft? Gany's Nether will allow you making fire.
When you post a mod: "No pics no clicks" and "MCreator = bad ~99% of the time"
Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.
