Exactly, I have been watch all the mods he does for sometime and seeing how he, was contsaintly working alone, made me wish he had help. And obviously I have never tried making a mod before, but if he was ever gonna get help someone had to start somewhere.
My vision with this thread is to offer support to the ships mod as far as possible by adding the features everyone wants, but cuchz doesn't have time to do (the little cosmetic details)
I just thought, maybe you could add ropes to the mod (would certainly help furling/unfurling the sails)?
Any way, this mod has a great potential.

Both are excellent ideas I am afraid the ropes thing is a little beyond me, but I will add it to the whishlist anyway. I may be able to find/get help with the ropes.
I recall I did not really like his system, but I don't remember exactly why. Maybe it had to do with the way the ropes worked...

I will be soon very soon within the next day ... couple of days ... week (i don't want to be to hopeful initially i though it would only take me a week and now i am just over two weeks in.) although if you want i can give you a version that doesn't have propulsion implemented yet so you can build your sails for when it is added

Yeah i dont mind.. I would like to use the sailing without use of propulsion. that would sure appreciated!
OH thats very interesting. I already get how it works. it only took me 5 to 10 minutes to figure it out. its quite trick-y... but i am not sure what am i missing. I made a small boat with a small sailing just for a test in a test world. and i was done building that boat and sailing so i undock it.. and i tried to sailing it by using the key "w" or "s", you get the idea.. but nothing happened to the boat as if its not moving. what am i missing? 0_o?

By default blocks will orientate them selves parallel to you like this,
Holding [Shift] will flip them This is particularly useful when creating Masts.
Sometimes when placing sails their constant desire to connect to everything can be annoying holding [Ctrl] will prevent this
Similarly holding [Ctrl] when placing a sail will prevent it from copying the color of the block they attach to

Thanks, there are definitely some cool uses for these blocks, Like tents for example.
