I am very new to Minecraft and my son (8 years old) loves Dogcraft and has been begging me for a week to download the copious dogs mod. However, I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing. I did download Launcher and Forge and tried to download the Copious dogs mod but it says it only works with an older version of Forge and cannot be downloaded. Is it possible to download an older version so that he can play it? Could someone help me PLEASE?

The latest version is for 1.10.2

In Your Launcher go to installations and create a new profile with Minecraft 1.10.2

Start it and close it in main menu

Download Forge for 1.10.2

https://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.10.2-12.18.3.2185/forge-1.10.2-12.18.3.2185-installer-win.exe

Install it

Start Minecraft again and make sure your profile is using the Forge version

Also start the game and close it in main menu

At C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft

you will find a mods-folder

Put the mod jar in it and start the game again with the Forge profile

How can I get this mod please tell me..

On the first post you can download the 1.7.2 version

Install Forge - start the forge profile once and put the mod jar in /.minecraft/mods/

HOW DO IT GET IT INSTALED ?

will we ever be able to download this mod for 1.18? i really wanna play but ive never really downloaded mods before so this is all new stuff to me :')

Hi, I’m new but I have played with this mod, watched StacyPlays play with this mod, and I adore it. The only thing I might suggest is possibly adding some of the most common mixed breed dogs.

I am big fan of this mod and I would love to see some mixed breeds٫ maybe being able to breed 2 different dog breeds to get a mutt as well.

So if i wanna play with this mod on 1.20 which one would i download
