Okay, I have maxed out all of my levels, and I have to say, I really enjoy this mod. Now that Dracula has been added as well as the ability to become a vampire lord, I think this is a good time to start my series. I will attempt to record with the new version tommorow.
Hey maxanier, sorry for bugging this thread so much, but have you heard that Minecraft version 1.9 is officially coming out soon? So maybe the next version of this mod can be in 1.9 (once it's out) instead of 1.8 .
Will this affect any of my files with the current version of the mod? Also, will there soon be a server dedicated to this mod?
It is always good to create a backup, but upgrading should not cause any problems. Not sure about downgrading though. Since a server costs money: Not now

Since most changes for 1.8 will be needed for 1.9 anyway, there will probably be a 1.8 version.
I have question as you get minions in the vampire lord form and and other thing the vampire lords are almost immortal and endure the sun(

Not sure what you mean, but if you want to know how to get minions: read the guide book. But just for once: Freeze a vampire with your freeze skill and then bite him to intimidate him

Yeah, but it doesn't mean that 1. Should no longer be available to Lords: you get the ability beforehand. It will probably be a quick fix along with the others.

I found the mod's mobs and animals, but not the ones I listed. It was so bad that I had to cheat in order to make blood bottles. It would be nice if you could help me.

But it exactly means that some skills are no longer available (including Revive Fallen). To make the skill menu not too overloaded and since you can have Vampire minions then. The skill is removed

That's odd, I will investigate that. For now you can try to lower the spawn_probe of hunters and vampires in the vampirism_balance.cfg

Is there any way to edit the list of mobs that can be safely drank from? I ask because there are several mods that introduce villager NPC variations that can (in the case of some mods) remove normal MC villagers entirely.

Exactly one year ago the first line of Vampirism was written!
(Even though the most of the work on this mod was done in this year)
With around 50.000 total Downloads, over 30.000 pure Java lines of code and after multiple hundred hours of work I would say Vampirism isn't a small mod anymore
I will take that as opportunity to do to things:
1. Since the source code is slowly becoming unclear and there are several things to improve, I will use the next month or two, to redo some stuff.
This will build the foundation for the hunter faction, make me and other mod authors to create some interaction/support with other mods and will probably include the update to 1.8. This will unfortunately mean that, there won't be a lot of content in that time, I will still bugfix the current version and add a few minor requests. For that please post one thing you want to see and I will choose.
2. I opened a Patreon page. For those who don't know what this is: On Patreon you can support your favorite creators with a small monthly pledge and might even get a small reward. If you like my work, please consider supporting me. All pledges will be used to make programming more fun for me (coffee, beer and more) and to cover any server costs. If the respective goal is met, I will also setup a Test Server for Vampirism.
Please also keep in mind that all my work is free, adfree and opensource.
Also I want to point out myTwitter to you again. If you have a Twitter account consider following me. I'm using it to announce some things and I promise that I won't spam you with stuff (at least for now )

If you like my work, please consider supporting me. All pledges will be used to make programming for fun for me (coffee, beer and more) and to cover any server costs. If the respective goal is met, I will also setup a Test Server for Vampirism.

So... I was in the middle if fighting Dracula. I was low on life so I flew away and regenerated. When I came back down, Dracula was gone. I explored the entire castle, and I still can't find him. He wussed out on me!!! Now how am I going to become a Vampire Lord???

I am also redoing the basics for all mobs at the moment, which might solve the "murdering MCA village" problem

not really, it is not really necessary, other players can recognize you as a vampire anyway and it would probably annoy yourself
