I know he's planning mod interaction, especially custom armor, so if you're lucky these kinds of things will get sorted too! Btw, what happens with the shield in the pic is most likely what currently happens with custom armor - they get rotated 180 degrees on a lateral plane. Best case scenario is that the armor-fix also covers your issue.
Edit: Here's the Nightfall armor from The Farlanders mod.
Thanks man, glad to hear that! Do you have any suggestions for the next update?
Actually I do! ^^
As you already know I reeeeally would like armor compatibility with The Farlanders mod(it's only one armor set plus a helmet), but Vanilla wise - HORSES!
The mighty steed of our dreams looks god awful in third person, it's like it's on wheels! It would be awesome to properly galopp over the plains and slow down with a modest trot along the an outer wall, ending in a mellow walk on horseback through the village square. Also, doesn't your fancy riding animation deserve a proper horse animation? ^__^
The other hostile mobs would obviously be cool too, but villagers would be even cooler!
A note on the riding animation; shifting between weapons and other tools makes the character sink/rise into the horse, seems related to the different stance heights avaliable on foot.
The 'fix' to get animations working appears to have random results. I've had it work on a few worlds, but not on others. I've checked that the mainmenumobs is enabled and also switched from the latest 1.7.10 version to the slightly older one that you used. With no success.
OK, figured out that there is a pattern to why this wasn't consistently working, Basically if the animations aren't working you need to open the G menu and disable player animations. Then exit the world. Go to the mod menu and disable the showMainMenuMobs option and ensure that the box that says 'apply globally' is ticked. Go back into the world and then exit once again. Restart minecraft from scratch and then enable showMainMenuMobs then go into a world and enable the player animations. Exit the game entirely once more. When you restart Minecraft everything will work normally.
Basically, you need to stop using this bspkrsCORE dependency because somewhere down the line your mod isn't loading the functions properly.
Exited the game. Went back in. Started a new world. Animations are broken again. Safe to say, serious bug with how reliable this mod is.
