Britannia Rules the Waves (BRtW) is a new mod by myself, Jeaves Jeaves (I've gone through many names, but I'm sticking with Jeaves Jeaves). BRtW is about being a king or queen of Britain, beginning around 1000 AD and leading up as far as you want (and as far as technology lets you). Before going too in depth, let me explain a little about myself. I'm a young American Beatlemaniac who play bass guitar, loves music, Lego Bionicles, Bulldogs, and Minecraft. This is my first (hopefully) continually updated Minecraft mod (do NOT go looking through my old posts (it won't end well)) and I'd like it to stay that way for as long as it can. The mod is very much a work in progress and, therefore, I have no pictures yet. I can, however explain a bit better.
The year is 1000 AD. You are King/Queen [insert username here]. Your father, King Paul, died about a month ago. Your coronation has just ended and you are officially a King/Queen of Britain. Your job is to grow your empire, grant land to trustworthy vassals, save yourself from conspirators and assassins, and keep a steady trade system going with France, Germany, Spain, and Austria. This won't be easy though. Knights can't always save you from your enemies, so keep a royal sword on hand. Your nation is also on the brink of a religious war (crusade) with the middle east. As the almost 200 rear long crusades end, you come out as a somewhat weak civilization. You need to bring your people to peace and prosperity again. This means you must milk all your assets. Train more knights. Overwork your peasants and serfs. Cut down on power hungry lords and save Britain from an economic meltdown.
As you move through the years, new technology is discovered. That's where mod compatibilities come into play. Buildcraft, Thermal Expansion, Ender IO, Computercraft, Applied Energistics, and more will eventually all have a part to play (only if they're installed of course (they're not dependencies)). Through all this, your country is thriving. You become a prime minister and leave your past royal powers to others. You will, of course still rule the land.
Now, I know this project sounds absolutely impossible, but as I see it, it can be done. Thank you for reading, pictures will come soon, and I hope you will support my little project here as I move through development. Thank you once again.
